Report: Case Keenum: Houston Texans to Sign Local Star QB
- John McClain via twitter
https://twitter.com/#!/McClain_on_NF...96668076306432
Former UH quarterback Case Keenum on joining the Texans:"I couldn't be happier." HC Gary Kubiak said Keenum was his 1st call after the draft
-Mark Berman Fox26
https://twitter.com/#!/MarkBermanFox...14762081464324
Cougs' Patrick Edwards would have been a nice addition too.. However, he will be joining Megatron in Detroit
2011:
89 rec
1,752 yds
20 TD
4.35 40
... nice to see the the former UH walk-on freshman taste the NFL
Two other Cougars have signed as undrafted free agents: linebacker Marcus McGraw (Cardinals), running back Michael Hayes (Chargers)

Glad Michael Hayes got signed to a team, he's awesome. Like the Keenum addition, should make preseason exciting to watch with him and Yates.

That was a good move to ease some fan dissatisfaction from not gettin the wide receiver in the first two pics. He may only see the field in one preseason game but the people will like it. Don't think it will be tebow time in Houston though.

Yeah looks like Case just agreed to a contract with the Texans...I'm really happy for them. I still can't believe a QB with the MOST passing yards of any QB in NCAA history (over 19,000 yards) & the most TD's (155) went undrafted. That's a damn shame. I don't care about his size or this stupid he's a "system QB" bullshit. The dude can flat out throw. Remember Arian was undrafted too...
Looks like TJ will have some competition which is great...

Don't we only have two QBs at the moment (Schaub and Yates)? I think every team needs at least two, don't they?

Kellen Moore, who won 50 games also went undrafted (he sigend as a FE to Detroit) He is short too. Both guys can throw, but one of the the reasons scouts are so low on them is because they played in weak conferences. I think both guys are under 6'0. Even if they were 6'1 that would be huge. Russell Wilson might have been a top 10 pick if he were a couple inches taller.
And it doesn't help that Kevin Kolb (UH player) pretty much sucked last year, and that Colt (Short guy) wasn't good either. Vick and Brees seem like the only legit guys under 6'2 in the league. One of the big problems is that the Defensive lineman are so Goddamn huge now, that it's so easy for them to knock balls down from guys like Keenum and Moore, lineman on both sides are just getting bigger and bigger, it's crazy..

Really like this draft. Solid choices all around who should stay with the team and start. It goes without saying that Jacoby Jones is done. Expect him to be release before the training camp starts.

I agree BL, very solid draft all the way around, both offensive and defense. We get linebacker, OL and WR help. Hell, they even drafted the A&M kicker and pick up Case for good measure.
I was worried after we lost so many players, but I feel MUCH better now...

Lmao, well coming from you BT, I'm not sure how to take that, but thanks. I'm still waiting on a credible post from you bro...lol
The more I look at our picks, the better I feel. Keyshawn Martin and DeVier Posey look great. They have speed, versatility and explosiveness. Randy Bullock was the top kicker and awarded the Lou Groza award and made 25 of 29 field goals in 2011.
Good job Rick!!!!

If we are going to make it to the Super Bowl, we will probably have to defeat 2, if not all 3 of those teams! That is a daunting task, even under the best of circumstances!
Get the picture?
If we intend to reach the Super Bowl, we will need something more than TJ Yates at qb. I would feel much better about our chances if Schaub was the one "taking the snaps!"

Dayum Bro, you did not think it was "credible" when I predicted on 12/5/11 that we would not be able to get past the Ravens, Steelers or NE in the playoffs with TJ as our starting qb! That prediction was not only "credible," it was "spot on" incredible!

Thanks Bro, but I do not believe that I am a "real genius."
But if you want to think so, it's quite allright with me!
