Every young man should have a place in the woods, near a camp ground and a bar. And when it rains, Its fun telling a lady I got heat and hot n cold running water.
Shhhhh My dog hated her anyways mmm make that disliked

He hasn't done anything wrong haha, he hasn't had an accident since the first day. We've stayed diligent on going out every three to four hours... setting alarms etc... whenever he chews on something he shouldn't i just redirect him towards something he can chew. He's very well mannered. He hasn't barked once yet.
He walks behind me on a leash instead of running ahead like most puppies... not sure if thats a good or bad thing. Got myself a puppy trick training book that should be here in a few days, so we're going to get going on that this week!

Should have named him Bat instead of Bear with ears like this.
Also, I'm pretty sure both of his ears will be standing before long! They still kind of flop because they're so big compared to the rest of him, but I think he's going to have the alert GSD ears

Does anyone know anything about pet insurance? Petco's quote for Bear was $76 a month (!!!), I'm wondering if this sounds about right or is there another option for pet insurance people use? They also don't cover basic exams, which I kind of would like.

Better off paying as you go unless he's gonna have or has issues.

Thanks rainbird, yeah I guess he got a higher quote because he is a larger dog and considered a destructive breed. I might look into insurance options when he is older, say around 2 or three, so that way he is covered by the time any potential joint or hip issues kick in (kind of expecting it down the road with his breed). He seems healthy and sound of mind though, so until then hopefully we don't have to worry about anything.

Conked out after a long day. Hopefully the training treats get here tomorrow along with the book!

If you've got the money, the pet industry will be glad to take it from you. Your loving care for Mr. Manly Doggie will see him through.
