There is nothing wrong with showing compassion for others despite your irritation with them. That man was already subdued. What is the point of kneeling on his neck for that long? I know he was no saint, but who wants to die like that? A fucking dog gets euthanized with better treatment when you put it to rest. He was a human!

I'll just say if you want to kneel on my neck for that long, please do not have my hands cuffed behind my back and give me a chance to live to get you off me you murdering cop piece of shit Mr. Chauvin. I don't believe that is too much to ask. I'd much rather pay bail and lawyer fees for being accused of assaulting a cop who is going to kill me. I can easily afford that. I can't buy back my life though if I can't get you off me because I'm already restrained.

Then don’t resist arrest. Problem solved.

When will you be testifying, since you were there and saw it all!

If weren't actually present to see it ALL, did you at least have the opportunity to repeatedly examine ALL the video and audio from the time that the crook was inside a nearby store buying shit with a fake $20 bill with his "social" buddy who refused to testify other than to assert his 5th amendment "rights" regarding his "socializing" with the other crook ...

... your "Ivy League" wall hangings don't qualify you for much.

It's against the law to "resist arrest" .... besides.

A problem is the yo-yo's on here and in the LameStreamMedia who pretend to know WTF they are talking about .... DON'T! ... and then more yo-yos get in trouble or dead, because of the erroneous representations by the other yo-yos and LameStreamMediaPundits.

And then there are idiots like SheilaJacksonLee who wants to ban the 50 caliber AR15's!

I agree with her! Any AR15 firing 50 caliber rounds to be banned!

She can investigate why the law is not being enforced ... another $10 million investigation .... unless a "Special Counsel" is tasked with the job ... then it's $50 million at least.

He won't be found "not guilty"!

If he is, it will renew my faith in a racially-free due process system in which the color of one's skin or even gender (real or perceived) has NOTHING to do with whether someone committed a crime. Be careful how "you" respond.

looks to me there was a combination of factors that contributed to floyds death.

-he was on fen and other drugs like opioids
-he was hyperventilating
-he was having panic attacks
-he had a knee on his back neck a tad too long.

it was not one specific thing. I think all of it killed him.

don't know why the coroner called it homicide. I guess he was looking from a different perspective as he didn't know the details of what happened.

it wasn't murder, but an accidental death.

is there a charge for casual indifference in that state?

I guess it is to many of the people in this forum. The guy wasn't even a threat. He was already contained and subdued. Or maybe the city just likes to give out a $27M settlement check when they believe there is no wrongdoing from one of their civil servants who kneels on necks and kills a man. You tell me what makes more sense for the people who are defending this asshole abuse of power dipshit cop... the man was defenseless!!! Chauvin will be doing time just like that coward deserves.

murder implies intentional killing.

No, I don't think he wanted him dead but he murdered him because he is an idiot cop. Anyway, there is no reason to go back and forth about this so just let the jury decide. I doubt either one of us is on that jury so it's not our place to say because neither one of us has all of the information that jury has heard to date.

We obviously have two different definitions of murder. If you kill a defenseless man in that manner, that is murder to me. And his family received $27M because most would agree about the obvious and the city wanted nothing to do with going to court.
