The predictable December swoon continues. Come on people, the time is ripe to arrive at the Philadelphia game in two weeks wearing my suggest idea of the paper shopping bags.
After the Cows scored their last points, the camera revealed Jerry Jones leaving his luxury box, destination to the viewer, unknown. I wonder if it was to the sideline, although the camera crew never revealed Jones there.
I would have loved to see the expression on Jones' face when the Cows, again, snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in December thanks to another high school Harry audible play Romo failed to deliver.
When #88 walked down the tunnel before the game was over following the last Romo interception,if Jones had hair (you know where) he would have regained a modicum of respect if he had thrown Bryant off of the team, or traded him to a NFL bottom feeder for a first round draft pick for next year.
If Jones can't unload his investment, perhaps he should move his three ring shell game circus to the Philippines and rename the team The Manila Folders.
What happened this afternoon could not have happened to a more deserving franchise.

huh? The ball hit the ground on that first one. It was quite clear from the replays that the ball hit the ground and he brought it in to his body from there. That one was absolutely the right call to overturn that.
The offsides play should have been called a false start on the tackle though.

Why would he want to unload ownership of that team? He makes a TON of money on it every year, even if they are mediocre every season. Would you sell something when you were making easy money on it no matter the outcome?

Funny....everyone loves to criticize Romo when things go awry .......however let's take a look at defensive stud, Demarcus Ware's score for the day:
1 tackled (assisted)
Yuuuuuup....that was it. No sacks. Zero hurry ups. Outstanding, huh?
By the way.....that incredible production was against a ROOKIE offensive tackle. Wow.
Future Hall of Famer? Maybe so.....but he's stealing money every time he cashes a paycheck IMO. His best days.....? In the rear view mirror from what I can see......
So....blame Romo all you want. I'm not a Romo apologist however truth be known, he's not getting the help necessary when it's time to finish the game: The defense needs to put their foot on the opponent's neck......not choke away a huge lead like they did today.
Shouldn't 36 points by the offense be plenty enough to win a game in the NFL? What is this....Arena Football??? And especially against a Mike Flynn led beat-up Packer's offense?
Seriously, people......do the "Eyeball Test".....watch the games. This sorry excuse of a defense couldn't stop Allen High School if their lives depended on it. Blame Romo? C'mon.....y'all know where the blame really lies......

Perhaps he just isn't as good of a 4-3 DE as he was in the 3-4 scheme as an OLB? He may not like or be used to putting his hand down and starting from a 3 point stance. That could be why his numbers are down this season. Some guys can make those changes, some can't.

Maybe it's time to get a real coach+GM (how about Bill Cowher?), get someone new for player personnel, and put the owner and his son in the owners box to drink mint julips and watch football?
Oh wait... Jerry won't fire Jerry and real coaches scare the shit out of him.

Fixing this isn't hard. Hire a real GM. Let the GM hire the coaches and get the players. Let the coaches coach. The owner sits in his box and doesn't interefere. Teams that do this win along with blocking and playing some D.
Romo is lucky to do as well as he does behind shitty blocking. Aikman and staubach had o lines. The D is awful... Too many changes in too few years coaches, schemes and players. Only consistent coaching can fix that.
The cowboys have plenty of talent but Excel in mismanagement.
Don't believe it look at the cheifs. Less talent and more wins. Better coaching and no owner , GM interference. The chiefs have Alex smith once considered the all time worst #1 pick.at QB. Behind a real line with coaching and a plan.though Smith is awesome.
Is this a surprise? Only to the sports media and fans that have never played a down in their life. Anyone that's ever worn a helmet knows what's wrong with the cowboys. They can't coach (jerrys fault), can't block (gm again no picks or signees), can't cover (too many coordinators lately), and they have a dez bryant attitude.
You fix all of these by firing the GM.
Every NFL team has a servicable QB. The difference between the good and bad ones is the o line. the great ones like Brady brews and manning are on.a seperate level. But when their lines don't block.they lose too. Romo would win super bowls in new England. Anyone thinking this is all his fault doesn't kniw what they are talking about.

Actually, Sleepy, I wasn't picking on Ware specifically.....all eleven starters of this defense are absolutely dreadful. They are a collection of misfit toys.....all just terrible. Certainly lacking in skill and talent to play football in today's NFL. Ware, because of success early in his career, is usually the one "in the spotlight"....and he's been less than mediocre this season.....
Never thought I'd say this....but I'll be rooting for the Redskins next week......then the Iggles after that. This team just needs to finish with a losing record, have the owner make another coaching change in the off season, clean house and start anew. Again.
And that new coaching regime....and it doesn't matter who is brought in......will also fail after 2 to 3 years of trying to get it together. Jerry will be post-75 years of age by then and "maybe" it'll finally dawn on him it ain't gonna happen (with him as the "man in control"). Maybe then he'll step down and hand the reigns to whomever.....
If only.....

I am not a Cowboys fan, so I hope that Romo stays with them for many, many more years.
Look, this years team is .500 and that is pretty damn good. Let's leave them alone and let them carry on. Jerry is da bomb. No changes needed except maybe trade Ware for a 12th round draft pick. Jerry will like that idea.
