I said you and RK agreed about the basics....a strong foundation.

That is the best you can do for your kid. After that, Let them build the type of house they want and respect their choice. You both basically said the samr thing. I'm not going crazy. I don't give a shit how you or RK try and spin it. I know what I read. You two want to believe you do not agree, fine, but your actions speak differently.

I never said ''we all agree''. btw

I agree that women should have choices and education gives them more choices.

But, I think women have more choices than men in this point in time. Like I said before, we can wear pants or skirts.

I think that women will always be the ones in control, behind the scenes pulling the strings. The man may appear to be the Head of the House; but if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

We like to make the man think he is in control by guiding him in the right direction very subtly. We know if we try to push him he will resist. But, women have their ways of getting a man to do exactly what they want.

When a man loves a woman
Can't keep his mind on nothing else
He'll trade the world
For the good thing he's found
If she's bad he can't see it
She can do no wrong
Turn his back on his best friend
If he put her down

When a man loves a woman
Spend his very last dime
Tryin' to hold on to what he needs
He'd give up all his comfort
Sleep out in the rain
If she said that's the way it ought to be

Well, this man loves a woman
I gave you everything I had
Tryin' to hold on to your precious love
Baby, please don't treat me bad

When a man loves a woman
Down deep in his soul
She can bring him such misery
If she plays him for a fool
He's the last one to know
Lovin' eyes can't ever see

When a man loves a woman
He can do no wrong
He can never own some other girl
Yes when a man loves a woman
I know exactly how he feels
'Cause baby, baby, baby, you're my world

When a man loves a woman.....

The one in control is the one who falls out of love first. That is not gender based.

Momma might not be happy but if I don't give a fuc about momma anymore, her happiness is the last thing I give a fuc about.

You are giving women way to much credit in this equation.

If you don't give a fuc about momma, back away very slowly, don't make her angry... Save yourself...Aaahhhhhh!

I loved "Leave it to Beaver"; still do to this day!!!

Does anyone know what the first sexist comments ever uttered on TV were?

"Ward, don't you think you were a little rough on the Beaver last night"

I would not have thought it possible, but I think WTF has found a way that both TTH and I can agree on something.

WTF hasn't got a clue as to what we were saying!

You with me on that TTH?

If by strong foundation you mean we all raise are kids to be honest, decent people that treat others well and are generally positive to the community, then they agree. If not, they decidely do not!

One favors gaining & developing the skill set necessary to assure independence regardless of what kind of familiar unit they end up in

The other places more importance on a traditional household with a man & a wife, perhaps even sacrificing potential professional success for the overall health and happiness of the family

I was not arguing that a Republic and a Democracy are the same thing; my point was, and I think we are agreeing, that the US today functions far more as a Democracy than a Republic.

Now this could be interesting. The real question is will they vote and in what numbers will they vote. Not clear how big that movement is either. We should get a decent read on it in the Crist-Rubio primary in Florida which is not until August 24th. I think Rubio currently leads in the polls but 5 months is a long way to go. (I know Perry easily won in Texas, but he was the incumbent and Florida demographically is a much different state).

The overall health of a family is where both parents are happy. Setting a good foundation means knowing that having kids is a huge sacrifice. It is knowing how to pick a healthy mate that match's your values.

If they have taught their children that, then my hat is off to both of'em !

When this hit on the aspd-board:

William Congreve, in The mourning bride, 1697:
As you'll answer it, take heed
This Slave commit no Violence upon
Himself. I've been deceiv'd. The Publick Safety
Requires he should be more confin'd; and none,
No not the Princes self, permitted to
Confer with him. I'll quit you to the King.
Vile and ingrate! too late thou shalt repent
The base Injustice thou hast done my Love:
Yes, thou shalt know, spite of thy past Distress,
And all those Ills which thou so long hast mourn'd;
Heav'n has no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn'd,
Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn'd.

There are two primary ways to drive from Dallas to Shreveport. One is along I-20 and gets you there fast and effortless. The other is Hwy 80 and goes through town after town.

Both have attributes and negatives. One has speed and no stops...but not much to see along the way. The other is slower and many stops...but a lot more to see along the way.

Prepare the traveler for both routes, and maybe even explain what are (in your view) the attributes of the routes. But then let them choose.

I choose to prepare her for, and lay the groundwok for, her to travel either route. Nothing more, and nothing less. In the end, both of them get you to Shreveport.

Only if you are politically leanings are similar to those in South Dakota, North Dakota, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Alaska

I'll mostly agree about the Senate.
