I, too, have considered the "I don't give a shit" plan but my masochistic tendencies alluded to in my sig line keep screwing that up, too. Dammittttt!

O2D - Interesting enough.. I have asked myself this question many times over.

These past years, I have been a full time Hobbyist (averaging 4 providers per month - what I would consider full time). For the past three years, have taken 10K from my bonus and placed the cash funds in my office safe. (Hobby money).

In August, I started dating my GF. Lately, I started to notice that I have been spending over 1.5K a month in this relationship. (Dinners, Bar tabs, Shopping, & rent). Of course not tapping into my hobby funds.

In doing the rough math, I am spending about $660 more while dating my GF. Yes, the sex is good but not as often as it first was.

What I miss the most is having variety... seeing different providers. In addition, and the most important NO DRAMA! Anyone in a relationship can relate to this.

So when I received my bonus this time, I took out my usual and noticed I had some extra funds from last year. This is what got me thinking about this topic and seeing O2D tread just made me want to comment on this.

Well I made some visits this past month to a couple of providers and it just makes sense to me.. LOL.. I am paying more for sex with my GF right now and not getting the extras.

In the long run... I can have sex with many women and have no drama that comes with a relationship. Hmmmm???

Some may argue that a relationship is worth more......

So now I'm back as a part time Hobbyist .. and yes I still have my GF but not sure for how long. I'm sure, I will be back full time soon. LOL

Perhaps I’m missing something here, but I believe you are comparing apples to oranges. A “girlfriend” by Webster’s definition is “a frequent or regular female companion in a romantic or sexual relationship” - the defining word there being RELATIONSHIP. By contrast, Webster’s definition of prostitute is “to offer indiscriminately for sexual intercourse especially for money”. Nowhere is relationship in the definition.

In the P4P world, you are paying for a service, albeit an intimate service. In the dating world you are (ideally) nurturing a relationship based on trust, romantic inclinations, honesty, equality, emotional connection, etc.

I’ll leave you to your regularly scheduled rant on the cost of upkeep of women in general….

Being married for a very (very) long time, the expense isn't even the big issue for me. The big issue is that there is no such thing as a wife who isn't neurotic. I'm either two for two, or I make them neurotic. Either way it's been a lousy weekend entirely because I have spent it with someone I love. But at least it was cheap.

I tend to agree Iaintlieen as I was married for a long time too. I did not have a neurotic wife but we just stopped communicating which lead the break down. As GripIt pointed out, it would be nice to find just one to be with. Of course that thought does not work for the P4P world but hey, it's the truth.

not only are gf's and wives not free, but they are heavy on the drama and on the maintenance dept...and who needs that. I love a provider who offers GFE because it is like seeing a lost love,there is no drama and no maintenance...just get on with the good stuff.
