Default A quick semi-newbie ??

I've been in the hobby for awhile and learning a little at a time

Ive been disappointed on my appts thus far, based on what I read on reviews and the services or time I received.

my question is
when is it appropriate to discuss what is on the menu or services provided?

Maybe I have unrealistic expectations based on some of the reviews I read.
I'd like to get a better handle on what to expect or talk with the provider.

When is a good time to do that? While making the appt or when I get to the appt?
Just trying understand the etiquette better

Thanks for the help

Perhaps this thread will help:

I'd definitely look for this discussion to take place before the appt - but after screening. And I'd only consider asking what I couldn't find in their bio, site, reviews, etc.
