I narrowly escaped the I-30 nightmare myself. That was close. This sun today should help out a lot on the roads.

no doubt.. i happened to be in arkansas during the storm. and where i stay at there is a HUGE hill..

no less than 5 vehicles of various makes/models stranded in the ditch.. all 4x4.. we even stood outside and warned.. "you won't make it up the hill..no one ever does..might as well turn around"..to which the GUYS AND GIRLS responded "its ok..i got 4 wheel drive".. only after sliding often sideways back down the hill..bumping into the other stranded morons..landing in the ditch.. did i get to say as they WALKED head lowered back down the hill "hows that 4 wheel drive workin for ya in the ditch there"

Deanna is sooo right - It was funny to watch those 4-wheel drives get further and further into the ditch... before they got buried...

For many years front wheel drive take humble motorist to all desired location. Motoring in snow is gift that accompany age and patience. Not so difficult if hills wisely chosen.

Oh i agree..front wheel drive is often way more beneficial than 4 wheel drive.. but I promise ya.. not 1 care makes it up the hill I live on when it snows..I live at bottom of said hill.. and neighbors up top have to park at church etc down the road and walk/ride 4 wheelers up it.. I don't normally laugh at some strangers misfortune..but #1 the travelers had no business on that road as they didn't live here, #2..they were warned, #3. they wrecked their freakin cars bad..

ya i'm a bitch even in real life

Was it a conicidence that Deanna and Huck were in town at the same time?? Hmmm...

I made it through the 2011 AR blizzard, but came home and got tagged by a damn drunk driver running a stop sign... three cracked ribs and fractured cervical spine later, it even hurts to laugh...

Sorry in advance if I'm cranky for the next few weeks... pain sucks.

End of pity party.
