Merry Christmas
People Unclear on The Concept
In the spirit of The Season:
This year I have completely bought into the philosophy of a green economy with renewable energy resources. I reject the culture of consumerism. Instead of giving everyone cheap items produced by slave labor in China, I have invested my entire gift budget for Christmas, Chanukah and Cuanza, in improving the lives of the indigenous peoples of Central America.
A generous donation has been made—in your name—to buy a 75 foot tall old-growth Rosewood tree from a timber company in Honduras. Another local company has agreed (pro-bono) to harvest this ancient tree and turn it into charcoal briquettes that they will donate to the local people for cooking during this holiday season.
On their behalf, I thank you.
