I am always amused by the various misspellings and grammatical errors contained in ads and posts. However, I generally think it's poor form to point it out.

Such errors by the police, however, should not be off limits. I recently was reviewing arrest reports on the Shreveport police department website (don't ask why). One of the reports particularly caught my eye. The arresting officer's book notes stated "Subject arrested for poss of m........ and introduce contraband into a penile facility".

Of course, further down the page the actual charge was "taking contraband to penal inst.".
