My perception is that the HDHs didn't really have a "volume" to begin with, so the dwindling business volume probably isn't on the top of the HDH worry list. I don't about others, but it certainly is true for me.

If my "volume" were to drop from a handful of suitors to say none, I don't think I would do anything about it. It's really not waiting it out. As I stated in my previous post, it is my preference, and not a business model, to limit the potential pool of suitors using the mechanism of the higher price. I don't really approach the demiland as a business venture, so if my demiland hits a drought then I would just spend more time reading rather than being "proactive."

So this is how you get your "freak on" eh?

I met such a lady once that had a very high relative hourly rate and a 2 hour minimum. Turns out she was absolutely wild in bed and did this more for her own enjoyment than the money. She told me (on my third visit) that she just kept the rate high to "weed out the creeps".

I met a similar gem in ATL. I take with a grain of salt any gal that says, "It's really not about the money" but over time tended to believe her.

She had a solid 9 to 5 with a Fortune 500, was selective about who she would see (waiting for RK joke on how I got into the mix) & only juggled a handful of clients that would yield her about 2-3 evening dates every two weeks. If she had a client or two attrit, she'd place an ad or two and get back to the mix she wanted.

What was different about her was she wouldn't see out of towners and wanted to know that, if things went well, you were interested in becoming a regular. Although I'm sure she had not problem spending the money, she claimed it was what clarified the boundaries of the relationship.

Very similar ATL, only the one I referred to actually preferred out-of-towners -- less chance of unexpected encounters in real life. I don't think she had regulars per-se. I did introduce her to a friend and he had an equally wild experience. One particular kink was she loved semi-public sex -- where there was a chance of discovery. She actually turned on a "make up room" light so that the maid would come in.

She was "out there" -- but in an interesting way.

I agree completely. Not having volume, it isn't a concern. All I need are two or three friends. I am far more concerned about the well being or life circumstances of those specific people than I am of the general state of affairs. Really, all it takes is one guy I can get along with.

However, if I loose one of my few, I do and have adjusted to encourage new suitors, until I meet the right gent, then re-establish previous expectations.

It isn't so much a matter of the macrocosm as the microcosim.

2 different ladies - neither on the boards - have told me that they really only want a handful of regulars; they do accept new dates but mostly to audition potential new regulars for that time when one of their regulars drops out.
