Why would you think it was a personal attack? I didn't single you out. I just called Conservatives on some of their BS. Maybe you just feel guilty.
Conservatives are the majority on this board. Why would you think anything is directed at you? Isn't this your first post in this thread? Are you trying to be a white knight for other Conservatives because they can't defend themselves?
Maybe you just skipped over the part where I pointed out that Conservatives are misleading people when they talk about a Flat Tax. It's merely a non-progressive percentage tax that shifts burden to lower income citizens. A true flat tax is not based on percentage, but dollar amount.
If you want the "almost half of all Americans" to pay federal income tax, maybe you should support manufacturing jobs by buying American. Where are your shoes made? What country were your pants made? What about your TV? Check the country of origin on all your stuff. Each "Made in China" tag means that you're the problem.
If I were king, you'd be wearing huge COO tags on the outside of your clothing.

According to the Constitution, anything to do with taxation must originate in the House. The House was in the control of the Democrats from 1954 until 1994. The Senate was briefly in control of the GOP from 1982 - 1986, then again in 1994. Therefore, anything to do with taxes and/or tax credits originated in a Democrat-controlled House when Gerald Ford was President.

This is second post in this thread. I am not a white knight or trying to come to the rescue of anyone. I was pointing out that instead of debating the facts you were throwing bombs around and trying to attack the personal traits of others.
The current tax system with a progressive tax is a dis-incentive for earning the next dollar or the one after that. And it is my understanding that a Flat Tax is a set percentage of income regardless of amount. So a person earning $20k would pay the same percent as someone earning $200k or $2M. Of course that would mean that people who consume government services but don't pay for them currently - would have to start paying...
oooh boo hoo.. I can hear that crying and wailing now from the half of Americans who think it would be "unfair" for them to actually have to pay in on a net basis.

How about we trade a flat income tax for a progressive sales tax? heh heh (You know that sales taxes are already flat taxes, right?). Well, flat PERCENTAGE taxes anyway. I'd enjoy watching Rush Limbaugh pay 90% sales tax on his Mercedes, his hotel rooms, all the food he shovels in his gaping maw, his prescription drugs, his house, etc. Of course 90% is too low; this isn't an income tax. The real percentage would be some sort of multiple of what his average listener makes.

Blah, blah, blah, blah. blah as long as you include that fat ass Chris Mathews and Keith Oberman and the entire cast of MSNBC, Bill Mahr it would be great, I bet none of these guys would like it anymore than Rush.

Are the reports of Rush Limbaugh driving a $450,000 black Maybach 57S false? Or are they just outdated? The article I read was from a few months ago.
I was just guessing when I said Mercedes, but as it turns out I was 100% right. Mercedes Benz (Diamler AG) is the parent company of the recent iteration of the Maybach brand.
Did you know that some of the latest high-end Mercedes automobiles have lumbar support air bladders that inflate when you make a left or right turn to keep you planted in the seat? They also have customizable massage programs that caress your back while you drive. Other Mercedes seats are air conditioned, or blow hot air on your neck when its crisp outside. Naturally, they're heated just like your seats as well. I think it's funny how Rush tricks all of his listeners into thinking he's just like them, when he's actually getting rich off of their backs. In fact, it's sort of like a tax. A Rush Tax! The dittoheads buy the products that are advertised on Rush's show. The price of those products includes a small amount that eventually goes to pay Rush's contract. The irony is that while Rush rails against taxes, his audience (in a sense) is being taxed.

So Rush is wealthy and drives a nice car, are you saying that Liberals are not wealthy and they dont drive nice cars, I mean really whats the fucking point to this. I dont see any wealthy liberals running out to give away their money or donate extra taxes nor do I see them giving up their nice cars. You like to paint the picture that greed and arrogance is a trait of the GOP when it fact its a trait of the wealthy, so stop your bull shit attacks.

You know, I could be wrong here, but I think the people who advertise on Rush's show actually WANT people to buy their products. In fact, I think the people who advertise on any show want the people to buy their product. Even further, I think the ladies who advertise on here want people to spend money on them. It's been awhile since I was in business school, but I think that is the point of advertising. But that's just me. I could be wrong.

Advertising is advertising. My point was that Dittoheads are a bunch of suckers. Did Rush actually say that he only drives American cars? I hope that's true. Can you cite a reference?

Monger what it with you and the white knights? Is this all about race to you? I know, some of my best friends are white right?
Or maybe you mean the hero in romance novels... what is wrong with that. Someone takes upon themselves to fight the forces of evil, deceit, and corruption and you have to make fun of them. It is almost like you think they're attacking you person...ahhh, never mind.
Rush advertises for American cars and there are still laws that say if you advertise for something you have to use the product. Politicians are exempt from that law.
Nice picture of Rush Limbaugh riding in SOMEONE ELSE's car...lol, not that close and no cigar for you. You do know that Rush likes expensive cigars? Better not let that get away without attacking it Monger.
Do you support the ridiculous notion that the WH now wants to call the Obama Tax Cut? How about some truth in advertising? Remember what I posted above about politicians and the truth?

Longer, as much as I love ya, you're the one who brought up that Rush drives foreign cars, so you go first. BTW, GM is a sponsor of his program, so I think he has an Escalade.
