Default OK, I'm going to be a PAB and ask....

Would anyone recommend a couple days on Catalina Island? Or will I be bored out of my goard? If so I will stick to the coast.

Also going to Denver in a couple weeks, staying Downtown. Any must do caca in Denver.

Thanks in advance

Toledo! Fine dining! Surely you jest. The closest thing to fine dining in a hundred miles is Tony Packo's in Toledo. You might remember the old MASH show. TP's was Cpl Klingers favorite restaurant.

More than a day on Catalina is overkill. I've had some great day trips, especially if you take the fast boat over first run in the morning and get your tour and glass bottom boat ride over early.

Of course I jestbut I have been to TP's on two occasions. Once I was the "tourist" dragged by friends; the second where I was the "tour guide" dragging colleagues (afterall, JB, as you point out we were in Holy Toledo, where the hell else was I going to take them?)

If memory serves it is old school Hungarian fare, but it is worth a trip just to look at the walls full of signed hot dog buns by just about every celebrity that has visited. What really cracked me up was there was one signed by our very own WTF, but oddly it was about a third the size of the rest of the buns

Now that is the kinda of info I was looking for! Thanks oden, now I won't be wasting the weekend on Catalina. I'll waste my weekend on topa Kathleen in LA.

Now this is the kinda of sarcasm I was expecting from my man atl!

Come on folks, now I need Denver recon. No hotels or eats (fuc I know what I like to eat and whom and where) just cool shit downtown. A Bronco game is on the menu but that will be done by 5pm.

I've always preached... You gotta match the weenie with the bun! I ain't sticking my weenie in no oversized bun!

atl. you can't post in this thread again unless you know a chick in Denver who can talk my GF into giggling my balls while the other sits on my smiling face.

Find someone to get you on Castle Pines. Not far south of Denver. I played there a few months ago. Great course. But it is a private club, so you need to find someone. But a lot of Big Dogs from Denver are members.

When I was eating dinner John Elway was at the next table.

Thats better that a three way!

I saw Elway up at Tahoe playing golf....football was not good to his knees.

How was that NW golfing trip btw. I heard it is in the middle of nowhere, like a sorta golf heaven.

"LoDo" or lower downtown

Everything from brewpubs to sportsbars to nite clubs. Been a few years since I've been so I don't know what the hot place of the month is but follow the crowd & you'll be fine

If it is not on the list...it needs to be. If it is...but is not near the top...move it up. There ain't really much else going on around there...but who cares...you're playing the best of the best.

The Denver mint is kinda cool if you're going with kids. High tea or just a visit to the Brown Hotel is definitely worth it. As I recall it was originally owned by Molly Brown. I can’t see you doing the high tea thing, but I could be wrong lol.
