I'm going to have to say yes definitely. Although you may not know when you got infected you may have had contact w/a provider when you were.

Pretty much my take. Even if there isn't a "rule" about that somewhere here in hobby-land, it seems like both the courteous and safe thing to do.

Again, this is pretty much my take. I've been in the hobby for less than a year and have restricted my activity to established providers. Two reasons: 1) I'm not into the cheerleader set (I've got a 20-something daughter and the thought of seeing someone about her age just pings the creep meter), and; 2) It seems like the worst thing that could happen to a provider is have the word get out they gave a client an unwanted gift. Not saying it couldn't happen...s**t does...but it just made sense to me that if a Provider has been around a while, she'd have figured out how to play safely.

Besides, as others have mentioned, they can be forged. ....
Regarding this, if you get tested with the AIM Foundation, you need not share any personal details. You are identified by your State ID number.

So technically, if for whatever reason someone would like to see someone's STD test results, you can hand them the piece of paper to match the State ID number on the certificate along with the ID number on your ID. (Can cover your name and address with your hand if need be, since you are only matching numbers)

I really like this method, at least in the adult video industry, and they actually do it that way for the reason that you stated above.
