Soccer has halves and not periods...unless it's a women's match and then it has BOTH halves and periods

I was hoping for one win after all the excitement of the prior match. Soccer will never catch on here because our pro league is low quality soccer. Bad soccer is pretty hard to watch. I hated soccer till I spent a season in England working and watched because there weren't other sports to watch. Pretty good game when played well.

they need to work on their passing and get better strikers. defensively, they are pretty decent and I think the coach did the best for what he had.

After the loss to Ghana.

NY Post's headline:

"This sport is stupid anyway"

Just as a minor point of interest.

Ghana was formerly known as Gold Coast until 1957 when the British allowed their former colony to become independent.

Thanks OG,

I grew up playing baseball, football and some basketball. Neither soccer nor hockey were in the mix. So I have little knowledge or interest of the games. My sons played hockey so I cultivated some interest there but soccer ... nope. Total TV watching time invested in world cup to date ... three minutes or less. Now if they played in uniforms like these ... I think my interested would be more piqued.

OFF :-)
