Hmmmm. Well, in my experience, all the madams I worked for-and it was quite a few-
were pretty "money grubbing".
I paid them not because I was too
lazy to do
anything, but at the time I wasn't an independant provider, as with most of the girls that would do the "madam circuit", I only "worked" when I would book a week with a madam. Kind of like when you book a "tour" at the Bunny Ranch(they also take half, and charge rent). The madam always had an extensive list of regulars, it was never anyone new, and these gents would be able to see a different girl every week, and have their pick from between 2-20, depending on the madam.
The madam in Chicago was probably the most famous. She would have upwards of
20 girls in each week, had 4 or 5 beautiful incall apartments around downtown Chicago, and even with all those girls, everyone was busy. The madam in Philly was bad about not even letting the girls take a lunch break.
I have so many stories I could write a book! Oh wait, I
am writing a book....
Working for madams was very demanding and hard, but you could work 1 week a month and go home with $10,000+. Lots of girls that did the circuit were party girls in their home town, worked a week out of town, no muss no fuss, no-one knew their source of income, and partied/traveled the rest of the month. H
