Great little anedotes but what is government up to. This can't be used for the military. So are they trying to corner the market and deprive the public of ammunition? Remember there is serious talk about banning bulk ammo sales. Wonder if this ammo will end up in the ocean or in a warehouse next to the Ark of the Convenant?

Ammo is a better investment than any stocks, bonds or gold for this matter if Obama gets reelected. Prices will go sky high again.

All of those offices are just cover for where the 40 Cal hollow point ammo is going. You don't use hollow point ammo for target practice. This is a practice the government has used for years. It will be reshipped to some one else.

The Social Security Administration claims that this is for their Special Agents, of which they have just under 300, and that .40 cal jacketed hollow point is standard issue for special agents of several agencies, not just theirs.

I'm a little concerned about 300 Special Agents of the Social Security Administration, but, assuming that's correct, that's 500 rounds per each, which isn't unreasonable.

I'd be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on the "target shooting" claim: if .40 cal hollow point has unique ballistics, then it makes sense to practice with the real load, so you know how to aim when it's for real.

The claim about it being standard issue should be easy enough to check.

world's largest army... America 's hunters!
I had never thought about this...

A blogger
added up the deer license sales
in just a
handful of states and
arrived at a striking
conclusion:

There
were over 600,000 hunters
this season
in the state of Wisconsin .
Allow me to restate that number:


Over the last
several months,
Wisconsin's hunters
became the eighth largest army in
the world.

More
men under arms than in Iran .

More than
France and Germany combined.

These men
deployed to
the woods of a single American state,
Wisconsin,
to hunt with
firearms, and
no one was killed.

That
number pales in comparison to the 750,000
who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and
Michigan's
700,000 hunters,
all of whom
have now returned home safely.
Toss in a quarter million hunters
in West Virginia
and it literally establishes
the fact
that the
hunters of those four states alone
would
comprise the largest army in the world.
And then add
in the total number of hunters
in the other
46 states.
It's millions more.

The point?

America will forever be safe
from foreign
invasionwith that
kind of
home-grown
firepower.


Hunting....
it's not just
a way to fill the freezer..
It's a matter
of
national security.
