Hi y'all. I just saw this newsclip on KSAT12 and thought it was kinda interesting. Not really hobby related, but it shows how easy LE's can obtain personal info on people, albeit in illegal fashion if they want to.

Hey those were sum pretty homely dudes... and look like the classic creepy stalker...makes me wonder what the fuck happened to they psych screening when they got into the department...especially the two young ones...

I think all this "psychological" screening is mostly witchcraft. About as reliable as phrenology. Somebody charges a lot of money to administer and evaluate some mumbo jumbo tests that they claim evaluates people. The people they run the tests don't know anything about how valid it is, and it's a CYA so they can claim "We had a licensed psychiatrist administer psychological tests to all job applicants."

Yes, it probably screens out a few really dysfunctional nuts who are too stupid to give the right kinds of answers.

The screening is probably similar to the one that some department stores do hahaha! The first time I applied at a department store some of the questions were:
1) Have you ever stolen money form your employer?
2) would you ever steal money from someone?

So weird how looking at their pics you can "just tell". They look like your typical cop. And once again, I work a reg job as well...glad to know my tax dollars are going to helping out the pigs' stalking habits. Good grief!

To be sure, there is a CYA element in the implementation of psych testing in the recruitment process of several organizations (military, corporate, PD/FD), but it's a helpful tool used to "thin the herd" so to speak. These screenings become much more accurate when they are geared to a smaller, more specific segment of the population.

This whole thing makes me nervous. Right now the police department looks really bad. What better way to make the public forget about this bad publicity than making a couple of vice busts. I think I'm going to increase my screening until this thing blows over.
