Default R.I.P. Andy Griffith

It is real sad news to find out that Andy Griffith passed away today. He played many different roles as an actor, but I will always remember him best as the laid back Sheriff Andy Taylor of Mayberry. I liked his role as Matlock also. Here's to hoping he is up there with Don Knotts [Barney] and Frances Bavier [Aunt Bee].

I didn't realize that Helen Crump had passed on also. I always thought she was hot. She had the sexy schoolteacher / librarian look going on.

Jed, watch The Blob again. Helen Crump as a horned up teenager with her panties wet from a scary creature from outer space.

Yea, Steve McQueen was banging Helen Crump in The Blob.

To get back on topic, RIP Andy, Goober, Aunt Bee, her friend Clara Helen, Howard Sprague, Floyd the barber, Emmitt from the fix-it shop and Wally from the filling station.

Opie, wear a hat, so you don't get skin cancer on that pink bald head and we have to start RIP'ing you.

Best work Griffith ever din in my huble opinion was a movie called A Face in the Crowd. He is a wanderer during the depression who is discovered as a folksy person of wisdom by the daughter of a radio station owner played by Patricia Neal. She puts him on the radio and he becomes popular and eventually is elected Senator but then changes as he is corrupted by politics.

Tremendous commentary on the political system that is way ahead of its time. Griffith plays a real bastard of a character and really knew how to portray evil.

Others greats in this film are Lee Remick & Walter Mathau.

Here is a link to find out more if anyone is interested.

RIP Andy. All great roles, great entertainer. Love the Brad Paisley video....."waiting on a woman"....the old guy (AG) hanging on the park bench explaining it to the young guy. Story of our lives!

I'm a little young to appreciate his career in full. But I know a catchy tune when I hear one. * whistles theme to Andy Griffith Show * RIP

"Onionhead" and "No Time for Sergeants" were a couple of his comedy movies he made. Pretty good for the day, late 50's. He also did some good drama as well. Best known though for just bein' "Andy" - You will be missed, Mayberry will never be the same.
