OTOH..... It DOES make me more comfortable attempting to negotiate. Say normal rate is $250/hr for consulting, if she puts out a plea I might feel more comfortable offering $375/2hrs. Or $500/3.......

For me, there's a fine line. If I'm chatting with someone I already want to see and she subtly mentions some minor financial need, then yeah, I'm a sucker. It appeals to the wanna-be hero in me to feel like I'm doing something to help out while also getting something I wanted in the first place.

What really TURNS ME OFF is begging or outright attempting to manipulate me. It's the smell of desperation that puts me off. So a casual conversation like "if I can work all week I'll be able to afford [whatever]" is appealing. Yeah, maybe I'm being manipulated, but I can at least pretend I'm not, so I'm happy to oblige if I can. But -- and this is where I'm going to piss some people off, I know -- when someone in chat is practically begging to have someone -- anyone -- come see them, it's a put off. Just being honest...

As with most things, I think it's all in the approach. I tend to repeat visits, so I suspect some of the 'haven't seen you in a while' or 'wanna get together?' texts may be financially driven. (I'm single, so to be clear, them contacting me is no imposition.) I suppose it functions as a nice sop to my ego that they 'want' to spend time with me. No begging, no discussion of finances, just a session she initiates rather tham me. (I prefer to do 2 hours.) Is it probably financially driven? Yes. But it's a bit more subtle.

I don't know that I would be turned on by a woman who says she is financially stable. Does if mean she knows how to manage money? I don't really know that as a fact. Maybe she has no bills except for utilities and groceries. I don't know if daddy gave her the house and car. Maybe she is stable in that she built up a regular clientele and does 10 regulars a week so she doesn't have a real need to see just any dick.
I am more turned on by beauty and personality mixed in the right combination.

I am turned off by repeat offenders crying wolf because they can't manage money. Emergencies aside, you know the bills are due at a certain time every month.

I prefer having no knowledge of a ladies financial situation other than her fee. Pleas for help are more likely to drive me away, because IMO the chance for a negative experience goes way up.

For me, it all depends on how it's brought up or put out there that the provider needs money. If I feel like its BS then a complete turn off but if done the right way, I'll be the first to request an appointment.

I actually did this the other day with a provider that I'd never seen before. She just came across like she was down on luck and I scheduled an appt with her. It wasn't for a reduced rate nor reduced time. I felt better after the session even though she wasn't necessarily my type b/c I felt like I helped her and she helped me that day. She never went into detail about her situation of needing money. I just kinda picked up that vibe in a post of hers.

begging is a turn off..... then rudeness in return when you can't help out is even worse. I don't know about everyone but hobby for me is just that... something i can do if i have some spare funds, If I can't spare it because i have my own bills to pay then i should not be made to feel guilty.

Let's be honest, we all have financial problems from time to time, especially in this economy. If a lady needs immediate cash flow and offers a special; that seems very practical to me. Even if she indicates that the lower rates are because of that need. She just does not need to be too specific about her issues. It isn't a turn on or a turn off, it is what it is. There is no shame in it. There is certainly no shortage of buyers on here looking for deals. Works both ways.
