Does it happen when you mouse over the ad, or does it happen randomly? What browser are you using?

I only get that ad to pop up - actually, it opens a new browser tab - if I click on it.

Try the flashblock plugin for firefox.

The NoScript plugin blocks even more stuff, but you'll have to learn how to use it properly and enable legit sites like eccie that use flash for legitimate purposes.

whispers: FWIW, I use Firefox and IE as well and never have seen the issue you're having. Admittedly, I'm on a Mac, but have dual platforms so I use both of those browsers, and once in a while I open Safari. I haven't a clue why you seem to be in the minority with that problem..

It haven't been able to duplicate exactly when or why but 4 times today and last night it occurrs... I BELIEVE it happens when I inadvertanty roll over one of the ads that are rotating.

annoying because the content launching contains audio....

Root cause of problems of this type can usually be found in an incorrect user setting
