Eric Slocum R.I.P.
To those in the Seattle and surrounding area who watched Eric Slocum on TV, his extended circle of friends that stretches all the way to the East Coast is just now learning of his passing.
There's a large group of us on Facebook that knew him as Dan Slocum when he worked as a reporter and anchor in Oklahoma City during the 80's. Many of us knew he battled depression, only a small few knew of his battle with suicide.
It's been many years since I saw him last, so I really don't know what he was dealing with daily that caused him to take the road that ended his life. I can't imagine anything being that tough.
Rest In Peace, Dan. There are friends all across Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, and Maryland who are grieving for you today.
You will be missed.
