Just like there are a hundred and one reasons for a man's infidelity, there are just as many reasons a woman stops having sex with her SO. Which came first the chicken or the egg? I don't think women stop having sex with their partners just to make their lives miserable.
If either party is that unhappy, they should just leave the relationship if they want to pursue other relationships, be it sexual or otherwise. This would have been a far easier solution than what he now has to deal with.

Anyone ever consider that perhaps Elin had an inkling that he was cheating? Most women are fairly adept at knowing when their SO is stepping out on them. I, personally, have never been wrong when I thought my SO was cheating. Sometimes men cheat even when they are getting nookie from their spouse. Some men are simply insatiable; it's just never enough. I'm sure some of you can relate. There is nothing wrong with that, just be prepared to lose whoever you are in a relationship with when you get caught, and try not to be so bitter about it when it happens. That is the gamble you took.
I don't think that Elin shoulders all of the responsibility for this. Of course, I don't know anything about what transpired during the course of their marriage, nor does anyone else. Speculation is just that. Speculation.
