What is the Point of Fake Ads??
There are a lot of fake ads on BP in many cities. Here's what I don't understand, What is the point of fake ads?
Are they LE?
Are they Cash and dash?
Is it for Cam shows?
Here's one in Wichita:
http://wichita.backpage.com/FemaleEs...ght-24/4335550
I'm calling this one fake. I could be wrong. But, the same number posted in Atlanta and Cleavland on the same day. The name of the provider changes from Rebecca, to Jessica, to Monica, etc. The ads often have porn star pics on them that are supposedly her.
There are others, of course. But, this is just an example. I don't understand what the goal is for these ads?

To answer OP question...yes to all his points, and more.
Why do they do it, simple answer...they are able to still make $$$'s.
Partial reason...what's that old saying about a fool and his money...?
In the same line of thinking, as dirty dog said in another thread, why would a guy chose to see a provider with horrible track record.
Without question, a site like this helps so much if guys are willing to take the time to do some research

I agree about not seeing someone that is clearly fake. It just seems like such a waste of time and money to put up the fake ads. But, I guess a lot of guys aren't researching and can be fooled.

Greek73, you obvious have some experience in hobbyland. And we both have the benefit of being members of this site...and we do our homework.
But I would guess, the majority of guys who fall for these fake ads, don't have the experience/research savy like you do.
And then you have the guys who are small time players, in terms of frequency of visits, that are clueless when looking at ads.
And of course, there is also that wonderfully "unique phenomenon" of the little head outthinking the big head.

My ECCIE Reviews

There are out of state "agencies" who use " bookers" to place ads in several different cities, answer and book calls. They have several girls in each city on call at the same time using the same ad. It's as "real" as calling an ad in the old bp paper, it's a gamble.
The "agencies" place help wanted ads on bp and require pics but they never use them, they claim it's for the girls protection and more discreet. So, if you call on Friday and again on Saturday you will most likey have a different girl show up even if it's the same ad and same pic and name. Of course they split the money with "the agency" and somebody is getting very rich.

Stacy lists one scam. Another is the cam-girl/verification scam. Guys contact the phone number in the ad and are told that the girl is available but for screening purposes they have to go to a Web site and create an account. Sometimes they are told that they get screened over Web cam and have to pay for the Web cam service.
Unlike Stacy's situation, with this scam the guy never sees a live girl.
There are numerous companies out there that will help you set up this scam for yourself, paying a commission for every client you direct to their site. I even downloaded a folder of "sample" pictures that were available for use in the fake ads.

Here's an ad I just came up with using pictures and text from the manual. If I really wanted to follow the playbook, I'd use Comic Sans font, large pink or red letters, and lots more symbols/emoticons.

That's you KC? I thought you were a guy. Come on over! You're hired! Lol
The more baffling thing to me is responding to the fake ad, unknowingly showing up and finding a different girl, AND then going through with it anyway. I can understand if the gal that opens the door is a total babe and comparable or better, but I've seen numerous reviews on here where that was far from the case. How many times have you read, "I was going to leave, but...?" But what? Tinkerbell showed up and handed you a glass slipper or something? More like Tinkerhellboy is the case. It reminds me of the scene from Caddyshack where the caddies bet on whether Judge Smails nephew will pick his nose, and then double or nothing on if he eats "it."
Instead, what's the song? Walk Away.
