America is a very war-hungry country. Why? Because we elect the people that want us to be like that.
Go for Mit Romney and the next war will probably be Iran, and then after that? North Korea? Venezuela? What about China? (shit they are too big to attack), like too big to fail for companies that rob us.

Why would I burn an American flag? America is good to me, I'm just not fooled by the things they want me to believe. I have the capability to think of my own.

So where's the call for Obama and Panetta to step down? C'mon, if we're going to draw Abu Ghraib comparisons - let's be fair.

Haven't seen anyone qualified yet.

I as being X Military with many years in can tell you shit happens in war. Just remember most of our military have been on 3 and 4 tours. The only mistake my Vet brothers made was to put it on video or pics. This kind of shit happens on both sides. When you you go to war you never are the same person you were before you left. I can also tell you it haunts you the rest of your life. Remember these BROTHERS of mine are tring to make sure 9/11/01 never happens again. OOO RAH. ED

Learn to read in context. Geez, do I have to spell everything for you.

And I didn't mean "sad" as in depressed. I meant "sad" as in pitiful. I am not at all for stupid wars, which is a main reason I support Gary Johnson and Ron Paul, and will NOT support Obama or Romney. But our soldiers are different from our policymakers. If we change the policymakers, we will change our soldier.

And to not appreciate someone who volunteers to take a bullet for me, is beyond my comprehension.

being only the second veteran on this thread, I will say the Army did not teach me to "hate", nor do I remember much "sensitivity and tolerance."

can we not just call it a "pissing match"? and guess who lost

The sensitivity and tolerance comment was SARCASM! Aimed at the stupid post above me.

And I won't argue with a serviceman on this, I'll just say "Thanks" again.

Let's not get too bent out of shape about something that a percentage of the web site's viewers gladly write stories of payment for this sort of activity. We don't have the full story. As gross and inhumane as it is (yes they should be punished for the act and for being stupid), these are likely people the "bad guys" will say were innocent students attending a birthday party -- who were planting IEDs laced with crushed glass, ball bearings and fecal material. They like nothing better than to kill an American and anyone he's ever spoken with or seen without a covered head. If the blast doesn't kill the victim, they'd prefer they suffered and died from infection and disease. Pain and suffering are their greatest hope for us... Yes, I've seen the videos of them patting each other on the backs for each time they're successful. And...you don't even want to know what they do to those who survive -- lets just say 2x4's wrapped in barbed wire are not beyond comprehension. Hmmm, I wonder if they got their 70 virgins? And then...we don't have the facts, so it's really hard to pass judgement other than to say -- yeah...they were stupid, inhumane and should be punished.

The military does not teach an individual to disrespect an enemies dead corpse. Accept it for what it was, a poor individual decision. I feel certain the matter will be dealt with accordingly. As well it should be! If you are going to blame the military, couldn't you just as easily blame the offender(s) parents and/or teachers he/she had growing up? If the individual was ordered to do so, it would be different but I do not believe that was the case. Poor individual decisions are not limited to military personel, they are made in all walks of life.

Is it too late to give the dead Taliban a full military honors burial complete with a 21 gun salute as our way of apologizing to all Taliban families accross the world?? Do they not get to tap 72 virgins each if their corpses get peed on or what?
