Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jumpoff (2009)
Just an FYI:
Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jumpoff is a film that is more or less a documentary based primarily on Karrine “Superhead” Steffans’
three ("Aussie") kiss and tell books about her personal experiences in “the underworld of hip-hop groupies and video vixens where sex is the backstage pass.” Wendy Williams is the film’s narrator.
Some of you probably have heard of Steffans and her story, but I hadn't. Last night I was introduced to her and her books when I watched this film on
Showtime.
Steffans is an attractive woman, and even Mr. Marcus – a male porn star – says she is quite talented with the Aussie Kiss. One female interviewee, Modest Jones, remarked that Steffans’ books weren’t novel because of the story they revealed: because everybody more or less assumed such things went on. Rather Ms. Jones proposes the books were novel because of the magnitude of the men,
e.g., Shaq, Bill Maher, Puff Daddy, Bobby Brown, Ja Rule, Jay-Z, etc., and the degree of detail “Superhead” provides in her narratives.
Steffans’ detractors in the film claim she is a manipulative, ego-centric woman with serious mental issues, so the film addresses both sides of the story. Towards the end of the film, Wendy Williams asked one rap artist, Charlemagne, if he’d let Steffans give him a blow-job. He answered saying he knows the woman is crazy, but she’s pretty and heralded to be an expert BJ artist. OTOH he knows if he did, he’d be in her next book. Despite knowing all of that, he couldn’t say “yes” or “no” to that question until actually confronted with that situation - LOL.
The language is quite frank, but there are no explicit images. The film was entertainingly informative, but if you need more titillation, you may want to buy Steffans' books.
