You say that GW Bush can go lower but in reality he will probably go higher with time. Get used to it.
Wilson is an interesting character. He took the US voluntarily into World War I and had to build a military to fight the war. He campaigned on the fact that he would not go to war with Germany while pushing for laws to eavesdrop on the public's phone calls, mail, and telegrams to get ready for the war he was not going to fight.
Wilson violated the rights of thousands of Americans that he, Justice Palmer, and JE Hoover decided were dangerous radicals. They were followed, recorded (with paper), and publications seized. Those violations followed racial and political lines. Wilson decided that communism was a bad thing (and it's two cousins socialism and anarchism). Wilson was also a racist (he was from Virginia) and segregationist. Wilson brought the first motion picture into the White House, The Birth of a Nation. A homage to the Ku Klux Klan and all the "good" they did.
Ma Bell was created by Wilson when they combined, by government edict, the 10,000 smaller phone and telegraph companies.
Wilson was a very flawed president but he is high on the list.

GWB & Wilson seems pretty similar when it comes to whipping up effort for the war. Bush & Wilson appear to part company when it comes to national security in degrees.

Wilson oversaw the death of freedom in this country. During his watch the 16th and 17th amendments were adopted, as well as the Federal Reserve Act.

Andrew Jackson should be way down because of his treatment of Native Americans. I understand why he hated them but it was despicable. Also Consitutional problems - "He has made his ruling, now let him enforce it." And get him off the $20 bill and replace him with Madison.

I think historians like him because he was a progressive. Hillary Clinton says she considers herself to be a Wilsonian progressive; that's reason enough not to like him.

There is a great deal of difference between Wilson and GW Bush besides degrees. Wilson had Eugene V. Debs arrested, indicted, and sentenced (if I remember correctly) to 20 years in prison. Debs was a former presidential candidate who was against US involvement in World War I. Imagine if Bush had put Dennis Kucinich or Ralph Nader in prison.
Also imagine someone writing a persausive letter to the Kansas City Star and that person ending up in prison. That happened under Wilson.
Imagine wholesale deportations of American citizens to Afghanistan for not supporting our troops. Wilson deported thousands of citizens to the new Soviet Union.
Wilson passed laws creating a cadre of 200,000 men who were trained to make short speeches at the drop of a hat taking the side of the government. This was used to propagandize the American people.
The Creel Commission censored film and radio for content. Imagine if George Clooney or Sean Penn couldn't make a movie that didn't meet standards set by the government. Imagine Bill Mahr being taken off the air for his comments.
Edward Bernays was hired to sell the war to the American people. Bernays invented modern propaganda and wrote a book about what he lied about.
Yes, there is a great deal of difference between what Wilson and Bush did.

I hate to say this but in a lot of ways Wilson was very similar in tactics to Obama; control of the media, the ability (by proxies) to prevent some movies to be made, massive propaganda efforts by a number of different people, and the personal destruction of people he considers enemies. Obama did use the word enemies when describing political opponents when he was talking to a hispanic (illegal friendly) crowd.

Debs actually garnered 1 million votes while in prison - and you thought Ron Paul's followers are devoted.

Edward Bernays was a sort of evil genius. He was Sigmund Freud's nephew and was influenced by his work. Glenn Beck has a lot of information about him in his book "The Overton Window".

Glenn Beck is a very bright guy and has accomplished a lot in the last few years. You should read something other than back issues of Pravda and the Communist Daily Worker, you might learn something.

I'm not aware of Obama suppressing/preventing movies from being made. can you cite examples of it?

wasn't Wilson starting to become ill around that time? its kinda hard to know who's responsible, him or his wife who manipulated things in the background while he was ill.
I was aware of the putsch against communist sympathizers, just not how it was institutionalized to that degree.
