Default Merry Chris . . . Er, I mean Happy Holidays!

This is ridiculous. The US Code list Christmas as an official holiday. Since the US Code calls it Christmas, why can't Congress call it Christmas?

Minor issue, but it illustrates how stupid our government has become.

Again, you bitch about something that makes no sense.

If you want to pay for congress's Christmas cards, send them some money.

Don't volunteer me to pay for your assholish flip-flops.

Like I said. A stroke. You have lost all sense of reason and logic. You bitch about big government, then bitch that they can't send Christmas cards on our dime. Make up your fucking mind….or what’s left of it.

Are you getting a keyboard cover for Christmas to keep your drool off the keys?

Ah Munch. You assume too much and once again make yourself sound stupid.

I wasn't bitching about the franking privilege, I would revoke it entirely. I was commenting on the absurdity of the federal government using the term "Christmas" as a reason for denial when the US Code defines the holiday as "Christmas."

U.S. Code

TITLE 5 > PART III > Subpart E > CHAPTER 61 > SUBCHAPTER I > § 6103
Prev | Next

§ 6103. Holidays

How Current is This?

(a) The following are legal public holidays: New Year’s Day, January 1.
Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., the third Monday in January.
Washington’s Birthday, the third Monday in February.
Memorial Day, the last Monday in May.
Independence Day, July 4.
Labor Day, the first Monday in September.
Columbus Day, the second Monday in October.
Veterans Day, November 11.
Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November.
Christmas Day, December 25.

It's silly to tell congressmen that they can't use the word "Christmas" in their mailings when the Federal Law calls it "Christmas". I said nothing about free mail for congress.

You need the medication, Munch. Not me.

Oh, and Happy Holidays!

I'm wondering who thought up those franking rules up???

btw, I'm with you that franking privileges should be revoked. if they want to send out mailings, they should use campaign funds for that purpose.
