I found deep tissue is what people want... Or atleast what they say they want. Sometimes they just think more pressure is deep tissue.
I found what impresses them most is helping this issue they have. I call it a "fix me" massage!
I will say once I gave a normal swedish and I was so far off base!! He really just wanted a body rub! A very, very, very light touch... Like a tickle tease!

Oh yeah, I like to massage the neck area with stones but think it's a tad bit of a hassle to deal with stones. (I have a small space)

Stones are nice, especially during the winter. My hands are often cold (blood flow is limited when other areas are demanding extra flow), so a rock in each hand can warm them up prior to any mutual touching. Several ladies, I remember loving Kayla and Brenda at Pure Pleasure Massage used stones to warm my hands. Basically, take a stone that was used in the massage, still warm, place in my hands, and continue the stone work with fresh, hot stones.

Yes, tiger. I totally agree that stones can sometimes get in the way of a massage. But, that they are good for warming the hands. May take that into consideration with just offering some stones to someone with the upcoming winter approaching. may come in handy for those sessions.
I'm all for mutual touching... and I have to admit that cold hands SOMETIMES feel good.. but only on certain parts of the body. I would much rather have warm hands and fingers on certain places than ice cubes.

I had an 80 min deep tissue massage last night!
So damn good!
I am however interested in a hot stone massage!
If you offer, let me know, I'd be interested!
Reflexology is good and really works well too!

Swedish is good for me, I hate elbows and arms digging into me. Hot stones are nice and reflexology is always good (love to have my feet and hands massaged). I like the Lomi Lomi massage in addition to Swedish.

Hmmm.. have to look up a refresher course in that. I have heard of it.. but never practiced it. Once I do refresh my memory on it, Jacob, I'll let you know... so you can come back to see me. (since you know where I am already... lol)

I had hot stones a couple of times (massage stones of course). It relaxes your muscles and feels great. One therapist asked if the stones were too hot (they were a bit warm), I said no but asked if they were burning her hands. She said "a little". I felt bad about that & encouraged a switch to deep tissue.
Reflexology (foot massage deluxe) is my favorite. Your whole body tingles as they work on the various trigger points in your feet. If I can only afford Sex or Reflexology, I'll take the latter.
I don't know the difference between trigger point massage and accupressure. I've had accupressure which is like reflexology but covers all your muscles. At the end of that session, I felt like I was floating for an hour after it was over. It was great.
None of the above had the typical "happy ending", but I was always very glad I went.

Well, see OLDGRUMP... now you can have the happy ending. That's why I posted this thread. I want the insight on what people have had... what I should offer... what people liked and would do again. I like hot stones sometimes myself, but I'd rather just get to the tissue manipulation aspect of the massage. I love to be massaged and assume that most love the act of touch as well... otherwise... this site wouldn't be in existance... lol.
You're right about reflexology. It's amazing. Not very many people have experienced it. I would like to start opening the minds of those that think that the acutal muscles have to be touched to experience relief in the body and let them know about the points on your feet that aid in relief of many stomach ailments, acid reflux, headaches, and more.
Trigger point is basically Accu. I just basically find the most sensitive point of the length of the muslce, press and hold til relief is felt.

I will for sure call you to book!
I need to see someone regular again....
We can talk about the "happy ending" LoL
Also, I had an old Provider girlfriend from here who moved out to Hawaii to learn/practice Lomi Lomi.
I hear the technique is nice and there are very few licensed in the state of Texas whom practice it.
She had explained something about energy release, but it sounded like she was becoming a psychic and BS.
LOL
I tuned her out and allowed her to finish her convo so she could hear herself speak.
I am sure I am mistaken and its a nice, lovely massage.

Myofacial release technique, while not classically a massage technique can do amazing things and takes very little time to perform.
I had a very small Asian provider (who's name escapes me) walk on my back after my usual very quick "happy ending in the beginning". I don't think she had any formal training but if done right this can certainly send some bones home.
