Perry's NumbNuts Tax Plan
Looks like everybody hates Perry's ridiculous tax plan.
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics...tory?track=rss
And while it will raise two-thirds of current revenue, Governor Goodhair has yet to specify what programs he'll cut -- naturally. What a fucking idiot. Even the Republicans think this one is a non-starter. Only he could make Herman Cain look prepared to be President.

Perry
In short time, Gov. Good Hair will go back to Texas and do what he does best, that being Governor of Texas. Which, if any body knows anything about how Texas is run, really doesn't need a Governor. It is more of a figure head position than a true position of power.
As for Cain, at least he isn't as incompetent as the Idiot in Chief that we have now.
We have to do better.

That's the spirit, let's find us a "competent" pizza delivery boy and make him President!
At least our pizza's would be delivered on time at least 90% of the time!

What do you guys like about the current tax code that makes anything different look so bad? You must understand that we will never balance the budget or avert the coming economic collapse using the current code. Why are you so tied to it? This is a serious question, btw. I know the code better than most of you, and it is abysmal. So, please, tell me what keeps you tied to it?

I'm not tied to it. I think that we should abolish many deductions, including mortgage interest on any home that costs more than $500,000 and any second home. And I think that capital gains and dividends should be taxed at the same rates as ordinary income after the first $5,000 combined. Let's also go back to the Clinton rates on those making more than a quarter of a million a year. Also impose a new bracket on all income in excess of $1,000,000 of 45% and 48% on all income in excess of $5,000,000. Let's also increase the EITC by about 35%.
Why do you somehow assume that because we oppose any plan that shifts a huge percentage of the tax burden from the wealthy to the middle class and the lower classes that we support the status quo? Nothing could be further from the truth.

It's like teaching a pig to sing. It wastes my time and annoys the pig.
I will explain taxes to everyone at some point, but not today. But if all you're interested in is class warfare and some fuzzy concept of "fairness", you won't get it.

Which ones? I understand that Cain's, at least until he orally amended it, shift a huge percentage of the tax burden to those less able to pay (unless you believe that corporations spend 30+% of their gross income in the accounting department).
I also understand that the U.S. spends about 6-10 percentage points less of it's GDP on government services for it's citizens that comparable democracies in Europe and Perry's plan would cut that to about 10 - 15 percentage points, thereby further impoverishing the most vulnerable Americans and handing the difference to the wealthiest among us.
What part of that don't I understand?

Yeah, don't you know??!! We want a tax system that's "unfair!!" People telling you you can't understand obvious and fundamental concepts like fairness always remind of this quote:
"The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Defining "fairness" to you would be like teaching a pig to sing.

I have also heard from an unreliable source that teaching a pig to sing is a waste of time and it annoys the pig!

You act like that is all Cain ever did. I would provide a link to detail his background but I'm sure you already know his history. But let's assume all he has done was run Godfathers Pizza, that sure is a hell of a lot better than a community agitator. This idiot-in-chief has 14 months left before he is booted from office.

Big Tex
Well, we gave the guy whose biggest claim to fame seems to be his ability to read a teleprompter and vote "present".
The thing that scares me about Cain is he might actually believe the stuff he expounds. But then, that is exactly what scares everybody about President Obama.

Give it a try, Doove. I asked TTH, but you can chime it, too. I really want to know.
