Houston Favorite's

Ok Houston hellp me and others out with your thoughts and advice........

I don't really do a lot of gettin' out but I do enjoy eating out, going out around town and such and I would like to pick your brains on what you know about Houston. I've lived here my whole life but I don't really know Houston.

Feel free to add a category if you think of something different. Any info shared here will be appreciated. I would like to get out more than I do and I know that you all here have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share

1) Favorite Places to Eat (any type pf food)

2) Favorite Clubs

3) Favorite Bars

4) Favorite Parks (be it trails ect. ect.)

5) Bookstores

6) Theatres (movies or plays)

7) Festivals (such as the Rens Fest)

8) Hotels

9) Museums

1.House of Blues(Downtown),Ninfa's(the original east of Downtown),Nico Nico's(Montrose).
2.Reign Lounge(on Washington Ave-Sixth Ward)
3.Hefley's(Midtown),Anvil(Mont rose),Sawyer Park(Washington Ave),Sherlock's(the one in River Oaks).
4.Memorial Park(gotta love the eye candy on the jogging trails).
5.Don't do bookstores.
6.Edwards Cinema(Wesleyan near 59 lots of bars,restuerants near there also).
7.Any festival in the Montrose.(just had Greek festival and Italian festival back to back weekends)
8.Hotel Za ZA(need I say more)
9.Museum of Fine Arts(both buildings..King Tut exhibit just opened).

Favorite Museum --- Lawndale or Contemporary Craft Museum

BTW Day of Dead exhibit @ the Lawndale is an excellent yearly everyone should check it out if they have the time

Too busy hopping from one hotel to another? I have not lived in Houston less than 10 years so you tell me what you find out.

1) Favorite Places to Eat: Katz's Deli or California Pizza Kitchen

2) Favorite Clubs: Roxy

3) Favorite Bars: Drink Houston

4) Favorite Parks (be it trails ect. ect.): Memorial Park

5) Bookstores: Barnes and Noble

6) Theatres (movies or plays): Any theater where the armrests raise up

7) Festivals (such as the Rens Fest): No clue

8) Hotels: ZAZA!!!!! or if you need cheaper the Aloft

9) Museums: Natural Science
