Don't they usually have some 60 mins on interviewing the jurors and their rationale in the verdict after alot of the big trials? I would definately want to see that.
I don't know all the ins and outs of the case, just followed it a little bit on the Internet, but I definately would like the juror's perspectives on this.

It isn't surprisingly something like that showed up on Ebay.

Juror #11 who was the foreman, has been interviewed stating two things:

1) The jurors were frustrated that the state failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.
2) The jurors felt that there was something off about Mr. Anthony, Casey's father, and that the whole story was not told. They felt something fishy.

As for Casey, we all have our suspicions; we all have our doubts; some of us get angry, disguisted, appalled.

The truth is, the only "blame" to put on anyone for her acquittal should be on the state. The burden is on the accuser to prove guilt. The law clearly states "innocent until proven (and proof beyond a reasonable doubt) guilty".

If there was no way for them to prove this, then Casey's acquittal shows that our justice system WORKS.

When others have been arrested and the cops are badmouthing alledged criminals, no one hesitates to yell "innocent until proven guilty". We all remember this law then, why not now?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a casey supporter. Just an American who is very proud of the justice system my country has. Ask Amanda Knox if Italy's court system is as fair.

I said the Justice System, not the laws. There is a difference. :-)

I am also an American History major and I do believe our foundation is the best in the world.

Regardless, my real point was in regards to the thread topic, a question another poster asked and right or wrong for casey to be free, it is still proof that when used properly, with all the checks and balances in place, our justice system works.

I'm sure the justice system works equal for all Americans, the big problem though, some people are "more" equal than others.

That is a problem with the humans in the justice system, not the justice system itself. :-)

Sweetheart, a system without the human interpretation does not exist when it comes to people being involved. Even technical systems, they work ................ until they need maintenance or ultimately they fail. And the maintenance can be interpreted wrong also and make them fail.
And as long as humans are involved who invent a system, it will be subject to failure.

Just google "innocent death penalty executions" and I'm sure you will totally agree with me!!

By the way Kira, if you ever travel to Southern California, I'll be happy to discuss this further with you on a more "personal level" for a few hours. I'm sure we would both have a great time doing that in the ambiance of a diner with view over the San Diego Bay and especially after that BCD.

Absolutely. And you bring me back to my original point of wrong or right, the jurors in this case did not succumb to human emotions and made the best decision based on the requirements of their duty according to our justice system.

Hmmm. Dinner in San Diego overlooking the bay sounds good. It's too bad I had to cancel my West tour, I was due to be there in mid-September. :-( Rain check?

Yes sweetie, rain check accepted, but I always thought that would go the other way, like if I missed a special with you that I would be the one who got the rain check LOL. But anywhere after Oct. would be okay.
