kat, I agree there has been some mean spirited stuff posted in this thread...no excuse for that stuff.

But ur question about how this thread became all about you...well you started the thread so of course the stuff is going to be directed towards you. If all you truly wanted was providers opinons, isn't there something call powder room for the ladies only???

I understand, posting pics is something that needs to be thought out....but remember the purpose of this site, so ur comment regarding men not posting pics is kinda of silly on ur part

there is a power room yet not all the providers have the option to use it.

If you're interested in being a member of the powder room, please write powderroom@eccie.net

It's a fairly painless process and you might find the moral support and advice that you need there.

The Powder Room is a joke. They keep closing it due to 'leaks', then re-opening it, and raising the acceptance standards for length of membership on ECCIE and post count higher and higher. Its ridiculous. I sent in a request long ago, included links to my personal website, my reviews here on ECCIE, and my reviews on TER as well. Never even got a response. Screw it. There are other forums for providers available.

Let me answer your question. I went about picking my rates based on the market that I am in. My rates now vary from 250-350 depending on where I am visiting. I am traveling only provider so I have more expenses. My rates depend also on my cost for hotel, gas, and special request. If I travel to an area where I am seeing regulars and I got a great deal on hotel then I will usually offer them a special. The lest costs I have the better rate that I can give. I also base my rates on my quality of service. If their is a special request that is out of my norm then their is usally an additional fee.

Actually, there have been leaks all over this board, in every forum. It's not just the "powder room." Perhaps you didn't get a response because the lady mods had gotten bombarded with requests. Perhaps your request slipped by them. Did you try to send a followup request? I had to, and I've been a member of this community for 10 years. If it's such a joke to you, why do you seem to bitter about it?

I didn't get powder room access until they took away the infoshare section in the KC forums. The day that disappeared I sent a message to like 4 mods and St. Christopher and low and fucking behold I got my PR access that day. Yes they are busy, and yes they are volunteers, but they don't consult with local mods and they follow very narrow and somewhat silly guidelines (I got rejected the first time I assume due to multiple IPs from logging on from my phone and laptop).

There is no need for you to come here and give her shit about her feelings about the powder room. It is a pretty useless forum, it is full of leaks, the useful information posted rarely, if ever, has anything at all to do with anything but Texas. So.

First, please keep on topic.

But since you brought it up, we checked every e-mail and PM request and you have NEVER requested membership for the powder room. Ever.

You would have probably been accepted if you had written the above address, your information looks alright. But there IS a very short little path that you have to follow before becoming a member.

We revamped the membership there ONCE since the inception of ECCIE and those changes have been very effective with keeping information private in that area. It's actually a wonderful place for ladies to be a member of.

So before you moan and complain about an area that you have limited knowledge of, you might wish to check it out yourself.

Back on topic. Mods, I apologize for the thread drift. But I detest seeing a part of ECCIE that I hold dear being maligned. And for absolutely no better reason than someone needing a reason to spew.

You were accepted the day that you wrote four moderators and an owner. By your own admission, the application process is completed in a very careful, timely and cautious manner to assure others of the integrity of the person being accepted to our private area.

Your attitude is disappointing. I've had enough of defending the powder room. If you (or others) aren't happy with it, I'd be glad for you to ask to have your membership there revoked.

Enough. Again, my apologies to others for the slight hijack.

I jumped through the hoops once, I don't see the need to keep repeating the same behavior over and over to get the same results. Even now, I don't meet the "requirements" because I haven't been a member of ECCIE long enough, the fact that I have been a provider for over 5 years doesn't matter. So why apply anyways?

There are two national forums that I am very active in for providers that have provided me with a wealth of information, and a place I can go to for screening as well as post warnings when necessary. No muss, no fuss. No need to jump on me for voicing publicly what many women have concluded privately.
