Posted Rate vs True Rate

In the past few days, several ladies have introduced themselves to the board in the Welcome forum. Unfortunately, the rates these women mentioned in these introductions...

30 mins - $45
45 mins - $50
1 hour - $60

...are not even in the same ballpark as the rates on their P411 profile...

If and when these ladies start posting ads, hope they will post more realistic prices.

I'm hoping that by $60 they mean one hundred and sixty dollars! I haven't seen 60/hr rates since the CL days.

I do think a little more honesty in posting rates would be helpful. Posting a $60/hr rate is nothing more than a bait and switch tactic.

Some of the new women are posting rates as if ECCIE was CL/BP. By only posting door fees, there's going to be lots of upselling.

Eccie is attracting these types of girls because it allows reviews to be written on BP/CL/SW girls. In return, they get to become a verified provider. I think it's great these girls are becoming verified, but they need to leave behind their upselling ways.

Until someone sees them and writes an honest review, let's not assume they will upsell.

There is so much competition in the Dallas market, guys in other cities always exclaim how they love the prices here. Maybe the new girls just want to jump in and get some clients and reviews by putting what they feel they need to price their services.

We are always told not to tell a provider her price is too high so let's not take the other extreme and tell her it is too low. If she sees too many people at whatever rate she chooses, she can raise it.

Brookcumsalot came in a a lower rate than she is now and had lots of calls and raised her rate. That's just one reecnt example.

sometimes, a woman will post a rate on p411 for, say 250, then post a rate on eccie [or aspd in the old days] for 200. that's kinda like a hotel posting a rack rate of $150 and then offering a $100 rate on their website or a travelocity/hotels.com/orbitz/kayak kind of site.

so, that kind of pricing is ok. some guys will pay a higher rate cos they found them on p411. some will pay a lower rate cos they found them on eccie.

now, if their true rate after all is said and done is way different than their advertisied rate, that is upsell and worthy of calling it out to the readers of this [or any] a.s.p. [adult *** provider] board.

If you believe that you are very naive. Better to go with an established provider with known rates than to deal with up selling or rip offs.

Running on the presumption that these girls know this is a business, the posted rate should be what they accept. If they think they are going to lure you in with a ridiculously low rate and then upsell the crap out of you, they have another thing coming. I believe if they say 60 in the open, that's what the rate should be. If I was a client, I wouldn't pay a penny more. If they got fussy about it, then a bad review is forthcoming. It's not about being cheap, it's about business. Did they earn a tip? Or did they try to trick you into an upsell. BIG difference.

I'm really not upset about how they conduct their business because it's ensuring my family eats very well. But you guys that are business savey should know "if it's too good to be true, it IS." If you're dick still isn't smart enough to take that advice, you sorta deserve whatever you get.

The handful of us that work extremely hard to make this an honorable profession just shake our heads as we watch this dance. Someone needs to add some steps.

I don't understand why being a verified provider really matters anymore. I haven't advertised on a discussion board in MONTHS and I'm doing better now than when ASPD was my bread and butter. Once you escape the idea that the boards are your only spoon, a whole world opens up. Girls on the streets make more than providers that live on the boards. I learned from ZE that the ASPD type places make up about 5% of the whole hobby world.

I don't really know what my point was there except to say, it is what it is. I don't see it changing... ever.

Upsellers always have the same MO. I don't why anyone is suprised or pissed. Just avoid that and save your money for an amazing experience, instead of getting a short view of hot girl that doesn't care about her job and just wants your wallet to open further. Come on guys... really? I mean still? Really?

It's worked out for about 10 years for Donice(Carlie, Becca, Summer and various other names) so yes upselling their little hearts out does work for many girls.

As to the 5%.

That means that girls must advertise some where else to find the other clients and use all avenues besides hobby message boards.

The hobby boards really work better for the guys because too many guys use them to drive the prices down for ALL the girls who are too lazy to go elsewhere to post and the guys then start threads about pricing or worse, will comment in a review about how she is "out of their budget" and who would pay THAT amount for a session.

Escorts seem to live or die by the reviews IF they limit themself to the boards. And it is NOT in the escorts best interests to lower their prices or change services just to be popular or a board ATF because with being a favorite, it often means DOING favors for the guys instead of conducting business the way they should.

I just think I should meet in the middle Every man deserves to have a GREAT provider at a reasonable price I have noticed some men go by the rate on the reviews, instead of the rate in the showcase??
