Help with getting bad odor out of my car

Ugh...my youngster spilt a whole thing of milk in the carpet of my car!!! I already went and had the inside of my car washed, but the damn, now spolied milk smell is still in my car!

So any suggestions on how to get it out?

Does not work, it just masks the odor and then when it wears off it is back again

Plan B:

Pour bakingsoda over the area where the milk was spilled.
Sprinkle cold water on top of the baking soda.
Let stand overnight.Vacuum to remove baking soda.

If the smell remains, try treating the area with white vinegar. Let sit for 15 minutes, then blot excess vinegar with paper towels.

hmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe take the lining out first hose down the interior and let it dry completely first then get it car upholstered

My suggestion is to get a few turkeys and let them roost in the car for a week or so. You will not notice the milk smell. Problem solved. Sheese people thinck outside the Box.

The pet odor remover product is a good idea. Austin Vacuum on North Lamar (a bit south of Koenig) sells a similar product. It used to be called "Bio-eliminator", but it has a new name now, "Enzymatic something or other". Works pretty well on organic things like pet odors and food stains. Don't be afraid to saturate the affect area, and just let it sit there and do its thing. If the odor is still there, repeat. The enzymes will eventually break down whatever organic material is there.

Another one that really helps, though best to use in conjunction with the enzyme product, is to put a large scented candle in the car. Don't light it; just let it sit there. By using that method and Febreze for a week, I completely eliminated cigarette odour from my car.

someone told me putting coffee beans in your car will get rid of the smell, it was in a group setting and everyone agreed.. i never tried it myself
