Top 10 Gogos at Pattaya -2010
Obviously any top ten list is highly subjective, a matter of personal opinion or taste, and will no doubt invite passionate agreement or disagreement. That's part of the fun and I look forward to it - but try to include criteria for agreement or disagreement.
CRITERIA
As for my criteria, they are pretty much twofold:
First and foremost, the quality of girls - generally the hotter the girls, the higher the place in my top ten. Obviously this is highly variable - a club's quality of girls can vary from holiday season to holiday season, month to month, night to night or even from earlier to later the same night. However, the top gogos are generally consistent in their quality of girls. After all, success tends to breed success - and the hotter girls tend to follow the money to clubs with the best location, profile or management
Secondly, the quality of the clubs - atmosphere, layout, style and so on
Obviously, any list by me will also reflect my own personal idiosyncracies, primarily my experiences with the clubs or with the girls...
10 - CHAMPAGNE (SOI METRO)
Something of a wildcard entry in tenth place - the only gogo outside Walking Street in my top ten. It seems to be consistently rated as the best gogo outside Walking Street (including in my post on that topic) - indeed, the only such gogo to compare to those inside Walking Street
Girls - Some good available quality to at least justify leaving Walking Street for a visit, although obviously not all girls are above par. The girls are divided into different types (and prices) - I recall regular dancers and "sexy" or coyote dancers. The "sexy" or coyote dancers are hotter - and usually know it! I particularly had a soft spot for the tequila girl (coyote dancer) on my last visit - but then I generally have a soft spot for tequila girls in most places that have them, as clubs tend to pick the hotter, sexier or sweeter girls for it. Club - good spacious layout with seating around a central stage. Girls dance on the central stages, coyote dancers on tables throughout the seating and girls in an enclosed shower area (the shower girls tend to be less pretty but more playful). I recall the drinks being decently priced. Friendly, casual atmosphere. Also open during the day, but I've not seen it then
9 - HEAVENS ABOVE (SOI DIAMOND OFF WALKING STREET)
This gogo seems to be consistently rated highly by visitors. (As an added bonus, I recall a friendly Australian owner or manager)
Girls - generally hot, young spinners. (As an example, check out Dancewatcher's pics of the new girl at Devil's Den). No uniform - the girls dress 'freestyle'. I recall BF 600 (maybe 800), ST 2000, LT 3000
Club - one of the better looking clubs inside (up a flight of stairs), white and bright, looks like a swish lounge (it always feels to me like some party in a bachelor pad or apartment). Comfortable lounge seating around a central stage - there's also girls (generally hotter onces) dancing at a couple of places throughout the seating
8 - DIAMOND (OBVIOUSLY SOI DIAMOND OFF WALKING STREET)
This is a bit of a nostalgic entry, as I haven't visited it since the start of the year - I look forward to reassessing it (as well as checking out some of the other touted clubs in Soi Diamond, particularly Gentlemen's and Windmill). I think there's a recent thread on it in this forum
Girls - consistently hot when I visited. Gorgeous long legs and some of the bustier girls I've seen in Pattaya, although obviously there's a high silicone factor involved (some of these are showgirls imported from Bangkok - not always available to bar fine and expensive when they are)
Club - comfortable darkened lounge seating around a central stage area (which includes showers, although they're not often used). Four girls dance on stage at a time - and are then replaced by the next four (rather than rotating off one girl at a time)
7 - WHAT'S UP (SOI 15 OFF WALKING STREET)
Definitely a bit of nostalgic entry, more reflecting previous visits than my most recent visit in July 2010 - the quality of girls had declined somewhat, and more so the management, which seemed to pursue aggressive pricing policies (notably a 'penalty' bar fine rate before midnight). Still, I'm putting it here in the hope that it will return to its former glory - there's some threads on it in this forum.
Girls - generally hot and energetic when I visited previously, slender long-legged beauties (with some silicon and natural busties about), dressed in a Vegas-like showgirl style. Fun and interactive - they present as if they are genuinely enjoying themselves - particularly the girls on swing handles about the club, the jacuzzi girls and the girls with those rubber smacking hoses (you will almost certainly be whacked by or invited to whack one or more of these girls). I recall ST 2000 LT 3000.
Club - one of the best looking gogos, white and bright (like Heaven's Above), reminiscent of a Vegas ultralounge. Comfortable lounge seating around a central stage, shower area and 'show' stage - girls also dance at points throughout the seating (these girls tend to be very interactive - thrusting themselves at you if you make friendly eye contact or smile). The club was recently experimenting with a separate upstairs section - I don't know what happened to that. Drinks are expensive
On a personal note - one of my favourite bar fines came from here. She looked like sex on legs - an exotic slinky golden beauty with a deliciously enhanced bust. One of the enthusiastic rubber hose girls - she pounced on me with the hose, pulling me to the stage and whipping me with the hose en route back from the bathroom. I had been eying her off before then - but had to have her after that. Her performance matched her enthusiasm in the bar...
6 - ANGELWITCH (SOI 15 OFF WALKING STREET)
A gogo with a high profile due to its shows - something of a must-see when visiting Walking Street. Note that the shows are 'couple-friendly' erotic performance pieces rather than the sexual gymnastics of other such shows (that said, they can be quite titillating - maybe it's just me but I found one such piece with two girls slapping sunscreen on each other quite enjoyable) - a good place to take a bar fine as girls seem to enjoy it as well
Girls - generally hot, in boots (a soft spot of mine) and g-strings - particularly for more voluptuous or busty girls. I recall ST 2000 LT 3000
Club - designed more for shows, theatre-style seating arranged in ascending rows around a central stage (there's also an upstairs area but I haven't been up there) - views of and interaction with the dancers is hard the further back from the stage, although I do have a soft spot for the girls' 'firepole' style entry on to the stage from the upstairs area. Drinks are expensive
Note a big contrast between the club in Pattaya and the Angelwitch in Bangkok (Nana Plaza), the latter is disappointing if you have been to the one in Pattaya first - smaller and not as good quality girls. As an aside, I don't know Bangkok or Nana Plaza well enought to do a top 10, so I'll just do my quick Nana Plaza top pick - the Rainbow clubs (Rainbow 1-4)
5 - BACCARA (WALKING STREET)
Another Bangkok import, but unlike Angelwitch, the two are of comparable quality and size. (The Bangkok club is in Soi Cowboy and rates in top picks there - along with Tilac). A relatively recent addition to Walking Street, which seems to rank highly
Girls - generally hot. Two styles of dancers - those on the bottom floor have heels, g-strings and some sort of strappy thing around one leg. Those upstairs have sports shoes, micro-skirts and no panties, offering a bonus view through the glass floor for those sitting downstairs. Standard pricing as part of the Happy-Peppermint chain - BF 600, ST 2000, LT 3000
Club - one of the more visually impressive clubs, showing off its slick new lounge finish in black and red colours. Comfortable lounge seating around central stages on two floors. Has a couple of small shows throughout the evening. My personal favourite is the 'cleaning' show, where scantily clad maids 'clean' the stage. Maybe it's just me (I've always had a soft spot for the French maid thing), but I think it combines both sexual and practical attractions - they can come round my place anytime
4 - PEPPERMINT (WALKING STREET)
Part of a chain of clubs which I understand to include Happy and Baccara (as well as Cavern and possibly Beach Club) - Peppermint always seems to have a fun and friendly energy and party atmosphere about it
Girls - generally hot. Bikini dancers on the main stage (there are two other small stages) with a few girls dancing in black mini-skirts and big white boots on tables. They tend to be fun and interactive. There's a Peppermint thread on this forum with some pics of girls. Standard pricing BF 600 ST 2000 LT 3000
Club - spaced around a central stage - there are some 'nooks' and 'crannies' so some seating has worse visibility than others. Reasonably priced drinks with prices prominently posted on wall
I have a personal soft spot for Peppermint, one of my home bases in Pattaya - it was the first go go that I ever visited in Pattaya and has remained a personal favourite since
3 - IRON CLUB (WALKING STREET)
A relatively new addition to Walking Street, it has been a rising star - although reactions to it do seem to be highly polarised, with punters either loving it or hating it. I obviously love it, placing it in my top 3. It doesn't hurt that it has a central location and high profile in Walking Street (with the door girls in their vinyl and vaguely bondage gear)
Girls - consistently hot. The biggest factor with those (like me) who rate it highly - this club presently seems to have some of the hottest girls, and in the highest proportion, particularly in the notorious 'back stage', where the girls seemed to be universally hot with pornstar or pinup bodies (obviously there's a bit of silicon back there - one of the dancers told me that the mamasan moves her hotter and bustier girls back there). The club poached hot girls from other clubs, particularly its neighbour Airport. They're not cheap however - amongst the most expensive gogos in Pattaya. Black and silver dress theme. There's a couple of threads for iron club girls and iron club's backstage.
Club - like Baccara, again one of the more visually impressive clubs, showing off its slick new finish in black and silver. One problem is that it is long and narrow - so seating is really only best for the stage nearest to you - front stage, jacuzzi, back stage. Obviously I recommend near the back stage. Drinks are expensive
2 - HAPPY (OBVIOUSLY SOI HAPPY OFF WALKING STREET)
This gogo touts itself as Pattaya's no 1 gogo - and it's obviously up there, although it just missed out on no 1 in my top ten due to my ultimate favourite. It has a reasonably central location and profile - although not quite on Walking Street itself, it's straight down its own soi and you can't miss the door girls on Walking Street (in their shorts and distinctive big white boots - mmmm)
Girls - consistently high quality of girls, mainly bikini dancers on centre stage. Guaranteed to find something you like! The girls tend to be friendly and interactive, responding to eye contact and smiles while on stage. Standard pricing BF 600, ST 2000, LT 3000. There's a lengthy thread on this forum featuring happy gogo girls.
Club - the club itself perhaps shows its age, being not so flash and large as some of the other clubs - I find that makes it cosy and interactive around the central stage, but on the down side can feel crowded. However, it always seems to have a fun party atmosphere
Obviously a personal favourite and amongst the first gogos I visited in Pattaya - in particular, it was the club for one of my favourite girls in Pattaya (and perhaps THE hottest and sexiest girl I have been with in Pattaya)
1 - SEXY AIRPORT CLUB
Probably no surprise to those who have read some of my posts, this is my favourite club in Pattaya to which I return every visit and would probably take any new visitor for the no 1 gogo experience in Pattaya. Although, like its neighbour Iron, there seems to be highly polarised reactions to it, with punters loving it or hating it, I obviously love it and it would take something pretty radical to knock it from my top spot. It is helped by its central location and distinctive visual profile (with my favourite door girl uniforms). The key is its distinctive theme, done well in quality uniforms. I guess I'm a sucker for a girl in a sexy uniform! Take note prospective gogo owners or managers - I think there's a distinct market opportunity here for sexy stripperific uniforms done well (police, army, nurse, etc)
Girls - notwithstanding recent losses to Iron, I still rank it as the highest quality of girls - the hottest and in the highest proportion of any club. On previous visits, I seem to recall EVERY dancer as hot (and highly bar fineable!). The dancers alternate on different nights between white 'pilot' uniforms with suspenders and garter belts (i'm a big fan of those - again disappointing to see so few in pattaya) and blue 'stewardess' bikinis. But don't overlook the stewardesses or service girls in their blue or red uniforms - some very cute and hot girls there too. There's also naked jacuzzi girls and rubber hose whipping girls (who are naked with little stewardess collars). The girls tend to be fun and interactive - there's usually a party atmosphere. However, they do tend to be amongst the most expensive girls in Walking Street - BF 800 dancer / 1000 service girl; ST 2000; LT 3400 (but usually negotiable)
Club - visually impressive with white, bright decor. However, it is small and narrow (perhaps not unlike a plane!) - which again can vary between pleasantly cosy and interactive (especially if you are lucky to get one of the prime seats near the front dancing area) or unpleasantly crowded and loud. You tend to really only have a view of the area where you're seated - the front dancing area, the middle jacuzzi area and the back 'whipping' area. Drinks are expensive - especially lady drinks and tequila
And it's my favourite on a number of personal levels. For one thing, although it wasn't THE first gogo I visited in Pattaya (that was Peppermint - Airport was second), it was the first gogo that I classify as a 'full' gogo (ie with those gogo trimmings I love - jacuzzi and rubber hose whipping!). For another, I fell for one of the stewardess service girls - my favourite girl in Pattaya
