If I might remember, some people expressed a level of interest and others expressed reservations/opposition/hesitation, which were quite valid. Then, a general conclusion was that a M&G would necessitate someone of great local hobby stature and trust, who could also screen well and do the organizing. Additionally, such a person would have to be interested in it and have the resources.
I don't know if there is anyone who fulfills all of those qualities. Someone lacking anything off of the checklist would struggle to pull off a great, top-rate, safe, and fun M&G. If you didn't trust the organizer or his/her screening, would you want to attend?
blk07lac, maybe a M&G in KC has occurred but you and I don't know anything about it. Maybe there was one or several and we weren't invited.
My suggested solution: perhaps a gentleman should find a trusted lady for a post-screening private M&G.
