did the media lie when they claimed Trump said Cheney "should be put in front of a firing squad"?
you know perfectly well they did, they intentionally tried to make a big deal over nothing ... by lying.
I’ve listened to, watched, or read the local news, pbs newshour, the washington week, npr, the new york times and the wall street journal.
I don’t remember in any one of them the words “firing squad”. A lot of talk about Trump’s violent rhetoric and the imagery of the VP being shot at but no “firing squad”.
Truthfully it sounds like something right wing conservative media would make up to justify their grievances.
Can someone point out an actual source where someone actually said that because I apparently missed it.

Fucking cowardly legislators have ceded war powers to the President. There was a day congress had to declare war and live with the political ramifications. That power should not be in the hands of Trump or any other single person.
Likely if Trump is elected, Ukraine and Taiwan, democracies; will be lost or severly compromised by the authoritarian movements as America's power recedes. You just have to look to Crimea or Hong Kong for what that looks like.

It depends on the timeline of when you looked. The Drudge report headline was an actual headline on their site. I am not sure how many hours it was there, but it was there for several hours.
