Jimmy did none of this. Just a honorable man. Never tried to take health care from anyone or never sent jobs overseas. None of this.

You are half right, yes gas shortage under Carter, but it started under Nixon that you said it didn't. Just like when the stock market breaks records now is because Trump is going to win. It had nothing to do with who the president was then, nor does it now. It has to do with the law of supply and demand - as it always has.

The cause: The Arab oil embargo of 1973 put the United States economy on the back foot, causing fuel shortages, a quadrupling of oil prices and long lines at gas stations. Several legacies of the resulting energy crisis have persisted decades later.

This was also before the oil and gas boom in the states due to fracking technology and even reservoir location technology. All of those have kept the US out from under the foot of OPEC and those suppliers who literally could change pricing as they decided on production levels.

Carter was not a boastful braggart- Carter successfully pursued the Camp David Accords, the Panama Canal Treaties, and the second round of Strategic Arms Limitation Talks. He also confronted stagflation. His administration established the U.S. Department of Energy and the Department of Education.

Carter’s request to maintain wage and price increases in the nation’s industries to a minimum.

He also did a crummy job however at handling the coal crisis that was looming because of the oil embargos' etc. as a bad timing contributed to the strikes of the powerful trade union United Mine Workers of America.
