Rudy never had the laptop. the FBI had confiscated it months before he released data to any press. he had a dvd copy given to him by John Mac Issac, the computer repair guy that Hunter left it with for repair. he made a copy of the drive once he realized who's it was and what was on it.
that copy is the only reason why a fed goon squad didn't make him "sleep with the fishes wearing a cement overcoat"
the data released has been verified as real and accurate by many news outlets including those bastions of liberalism the New York Times who were one of the first to promote the "Russki disinformation" lie
