Look at how the GOP operates. Now look at this video from 14 years ago.

14 years ago it wasn't so obvious, but now, they are more or less doing the exact same thing as depicted in the parody. Backtrack on their previous statements when the public doesn't like what they said. Changing the subject to cater to what the people want to hear in order to make themselves look good.


In 2009 you'd watch this and go 'haha yea right, this is so over the top, it can't be real.


In 2024 you'd watch this and go 'how is this different from what's happening in Washington now?'

The sky is falling according to the conservatives; recession is around the corner; We're already in one. It's the economy and everyone believes in common sense birth control etc..blah blah blah, blah. All this despite the stock market at new highs, and the employment figures at un-though of levels to the positive, and gasoline prices down from the post pandemic highs, inflation coming down and moderating, and criminals being held accountable. Yeah. I'd say conservatives are indeed a parody of the tough on crime and fiscal responsibility folks....they literally kicked every can down the road and are all about just regaining power. Not really any of those supposed GOP foundational attributes. More like Kabuki theater version of it.

The only issue with what you said is that wages have yet to come up to match the most recent inflation, but you're right.


GOP is like watching BBC Earth, but instead of the narrator calmly explaining what's going on, the narrator is screaming at the top of his lungs about how the lion eating a gazelle is the fault of immigrants.

Or in other words, it is just white noise

For non union roles, this is going to be a continuation issue where wages may NEVER get back to par; ergo waiting for prices to continue to decline. Sadly never back to par. It is what it is. Some of the companies looked at this as a way to make even more profits. One of the biggest offenders. good Ol' Coca Cola. When did you see a 12 pack of coke cost 7 dollars. Not all that long ago, you'd see them for 4 dollars, and you can still buy generic for sub 4.00 at Aldi's or other stores. It's Coke pressing the profit button and waiting for sales to slump off. Sadly - I'm betting our caffeine addicted population has no plans to slow down, and if you were a restaurant, costs have not doubled, but gone up maybe like 10% tops. Greed .....in all things Merica!

That's called capitalism. It's where the people on the top have free use over fucking the lower class. And people only truly support that if they are part of the Haves, or are too stupid to realize what's going on right in front of them.
