Default new lines in text messages

How do you enter new lines in text messages?Even though I write with new linesto separatethings for clarity, by the time they are submitted, all the lines get crammed into one big unreadable mess. (I will insert 2 new lines after the end of this message to see what happens) Looks like all I get are two spaces.

To put it another way, I expect that a paragraph is ended with the 'enter' keystroke and the cursor to be at the new line line to begin the next paragraph. This is not what happens in message boxes. The 'enter' keystroke appears just a 'space' and subsequent paragraphs are all combined in a single paragraph with only the spaces separating them. This makes the texts very difficult to read.

Although this is not pretty but if type
at the end of a paragraph it will show a new line however you will still see the "
" in the text message.

I take the previous back.
you can end a paragraph with < followed by br and > .i.e less than followed by br and close it with greater than. When you post the message, the symbols are not shown in the message and the following text will start in a new line.
