How pathetic
Lot's of reasons why it matters. They are just too afraid to admit it
The point is to underscore how all of the living Presidents, who are unwilling to talk about their ties to slavery, are darkened by the shadow of slavery's legacy through blood relations, with one very notable exception, Donald Trump
|
But I thought saying Donald Trump was off-topic? Hmmm.
So by your logic this makes Donald Trump a less (word I guess we can’t say but starts with R) person than all other presidents?
Is THAT the point?

Hopefully not, because it’s a bogus point. I wouldn’t pass judgment on someone based on what their ancestors did 100 years ago.

The thread is about “Descendant of slaveholders”. As stated in the original post Reuters investigation finds that Senile Biden Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are direct descendants of slaveholders. The only living President who is not is Donald Trump

Okay, and? Trump is also the only living president with no American ancestors prior to the abolition of slavery. What conversation do you want to have? What are we supposed to take away from that fact? I

Well then a lot of your political allies are "darkened by it" too. Did you read the article?

For real. I still really don't see what kind of conversation we're supposed to be having in this thread. Is it just pointing out people who's ancestry ties back to slavery? Like is that the only way to stay on topic? If we're literally saying "This person is the descendant of slave holders" and "This person is NOT the descendant of slave holders" and nothing else?
**Edit**
I'm sorry I just realized I wasn't being specific enough. We're talking presidents specifically. Allow me to get back on track.
Lyndon B. Johnson was the descendant of slave owners.

George Washington was a slaveholder
Hopefully this isn't straying too far off topic seeing how he was a slaveholder himself and not the descendant of one.

Gerald Ford also? You don’t say. This is educational! I’m not sure, but I believe even Ronald Reagan was a descendant of slave owners.

Wow. It's clear from the plethora of posts above the leftists are very triggered with the fact that the only living President who is not a direct descendent of slaveowners is Donald Trump

It would be more accurate to say that everyone posting in this thread aside from you just doesn't see the significance of it, and even you won't go into detail about why you think it's significant.
