Most pimps at least ones I knew came from the
(Staff edit) its where they got the money to provide houses in nicer areas, expensive hotels and introduce them to higher end clients. Since the drug game is no longer a lucrative source of money it by effect killed pimping. Plus at least here pimps only recruit
