You know there's a lot to be said for a theif... I hope they did it for a neccesary reason
So if you are like me and have a big truck ( my truck has 4 converters 2 on each side) get a plate put on bottom a.s.a.p I had my whole passenger side stolen and they were nice enough to trash the oxygen sensor as well. I thought collision would have covered but no I needed comprehensive to cover theft if a auto part ( which I didn't carry) 1250.00 out of pocket to fix!!
And the muffler shop HAS SAID IF YOU OWN A TUNDRA SEQUIOA OR ANY FULL SIZE MODEL YOU ARE A GRAND JACKPOT THEY WILL HIT EVERYTIME,also prious are next target because the metals used in the parts are more then reg. So beware people .. the cops ain't stopping the actual theirs they get the ringleaders that are sitting in their homes collecting that doesn't stop the theirs from just starting with a new group and this is ridiculous..

Jordans & PS5s aren't as cheap as they used to be.
They say Toyotas are the most hit & doesn't matter where you're at, they get them off in 1-2 minutes in the Bullritos parking lot.

But yeah they hit my "family vehicle" thankfully not my work vehicle.. but I payed for a 8inch solid steel plate to weld over the entire bottom(excluding the oilpan) so I wont have this happen again. Or at least I'll catch your ass in the act I added a magnet to the back of an extra ring doorbell so it attaches anytime I stop somewhere let a damn blade of grass move under my vehicle and I'll get an alert as well as a face recorded .. gotta love ring .. I just keep an Xtra phone wifi in the car so it stays running.lol. they better try the god of their choosing if I get a alert they gonna be praying to every God and hoping one saves em

Cheaper (>$400) to get a less restrictive aftermarket cat & unlock that horsepower (don't forget to get a new tune) the manufacturer robbed from you

Yea and cheaper parts equal less run time before needing fixing that's like the guy at auto zone selling 80.00 brakes that'll Last 6 months when I can buy the 180 brake pads that have lasted 2 yrs so far.. don't worry though mine is a 4 wheel drive( on the fly) so trust it has all the horsepower.. lol...

We can thank our stellar mayor and county judges focusing on social justice and equity by downgrading the crimes, and pushing low or no bond bail letting these fine criminals back out to re-offend.
On top of inflation and gas prices, all I can afford is a can of high temp engine spray paint to spray on my truck's cats, and see how long my luck runs by etching my plate tag on it as a deterrence.

A lot of people run their cars catless to have a better flowing exhaust. I would find a muffler shop to install a straight pipe that would cost you around a hundred bucks. It would be loud and illegal, however I've driven several cars catless and never had any problems getting the car inspected. Your car will probably throw a code which will turn on the check engine light, but there should be someone who tunes cars that can turn off the check engine light.

Wow yall just ruining yalls cars then huh?? I've proudly owned my vehicle since 08 and never had one thing ( until the cat theft) ever go wrong with it and it's coming up on 350k . No lights ever hit my dash and driving record is perfect never a parking or speeding or traffic ticket nor any accidents I PLAN to keep it that way.. it was repaired with the manufacturers part and a steel grate welded to bottom no1 is accessing anything except the oilpan.. without a blowtorch and around hh of welding the grate off the frame, which when they see the ring doorbell they will know I'm omw directly.. if they are ignorant enough to stay their next ride will be by either ambulance or coroner.. ( because in Texas your vehicle is an extension of your hone and have the right to bare arms to protect it)
But not to mention you know your converter converts deadly gasses from your motors engine and away from your fan which keeps it from leaking into your airvent.. I don't know about you but I don't want carbon monoxide leaking into my cab just to save a couple 100 bucks my life is worth more .. the cat acts as a vacuum it SUCKS those gasses into it to send it down to the muffler .. so if your feeling sick often it's probably because your ingesting carbon monoxide everytime you get into your cheaply fixed vehicle..

Aww that's so sweet. I'm a bit of a auto geek.. while girls were doing home ec in high school I was in auto shop and woodshed classes( literally 4 yrs and i was THE ONLY GIRL IN THOSE CLASSES every year but i was also the only A student all throughout).. I'm a sexy Tom boy, plus I wanted to make sure I never had to wait on the side of the road to get my tire changed, nor am I ever paying 100+ to get my oil changed and filters replaced when I van do it for 50. I even know how to change my own spark plugs.my only regret is transmissions are sealed now which is dumb in my opinion.it costs 500 to put my oil thru a dialysis machine ( I know that's not what it's called but that's what the machine looks like just a bigger version of a human dialysis machine) every year.

My cats were etched and spray painted didn't stop them at all.. all it takes is some paint thinner or a pressure washer to remove the paint and a blowtorch will melt the etching the scrap yards don't care if it's beat up they just want the metal inside, which is worth more per Oz. THEN gold itself.. if they are smart theifs they will strip the entire cat and only take the inside metals to the scrapyard.( which is what they have to do because its now illegal for them to take a whole cat without paperwork from a mechanic shop releasing the part, the scrapyard faces charges). if you hand them the raw material already stripped it's worth more..
