Sad thing out the topic. All scenarios above are possible. Here could be the driver. One of the largest exports of the us is arms. A peaceful world is not profitable for the us. And it took ww2 to bring the us out of the recession. It may be that a major war is going to be allowed to happen to keep this economy going. We have a lower percentage of people contributing to the tax base. Especially social security that we can not sustain. Scary to think a protracted war might be on the horizon. I got just one to add. Russia has plenty of land. Even more now with climate change. They can grow excess food. China on the other hand will need land. Maybe I should touch up on my mandarin so when they crush us economically and take over our land as we sell it off to them to cover our debt I can speak to my landlord. Maybe I only need to learn a few words. I’m evicted? Where will I go? What do you mean You don’t care.

It ain't gonna matter whether it's him or the next Republican president. No one is gonna be able to stop either of these situations. Especially China-Taiwan. Cuz when it comes right down to it, trying to prevent either could escalate into WWIII.

You can all pine for the days when Trump tried to take China to task. But it has had no real effect overall. Like I said...long game. You think someone like Ron DeSantis can handle them? Nope.

Theirs is a Totalitarian state that holds too much power already, and they are increasing it relentlessly. They don't play by the same rules we do and they will continue to take full advantage of that. They believe they are the rightful rulers of the world. The last few hundred years have just been a minor setback. Time to fix that for good.
