The Energy Corridor?

As I was browsing hotels in Katy searching for the perfect location. Since it has been damn near a decade since I have posted up in that city; if my memory doesn't fail me.
Trying to find a good location in a new spot or a spot you have not visited in a long while is nerve racking. Certain things are not on google. A LOT can change in 10 years.

In close proximity kept popping up locations called the Energy Corridor which I have never heard of in my whole entire life.
I googled it but could not find out like when it got that name did they just revap an old part of Houston and rebrand it?
Or has it always been called that an somehow I MISSED IT?
Any int-ell is appreciated......

I was just in Austin and Buda foe example is NOT the Buda it use to be it is actually considered a posh side of town now, WHO KNEW? That the town people would hate to stop at for a pit stop at going to San Antonio because it smelled so bad reeking with cow shit would have a freaking Cabellas and hotels sometimes $250 a night? I would of never thunk it. LOL but yet and still I have heard of it.

In San Antonio about 10 yrs ago there was a sweet little hideaway near the Wild Zebra strip club that even locals did not know existed. Quaint, a hidden gem,
If you where to visit that same spot today it is a HAVEN for the DARK SIDE of too many un-mentiables on here to mention. It is soooo sad.


Oh well that is why this board is still such a value.

It is the general area around I-10 & Hwy-6. Called that because alot of energy (oil) companies have campuses there.

Hotels are also generally more expensive in the area due to the proximity to many oil and gas companies.

There's a lot of weekly hotel stays in that area and many visiting gals will stay there.

There used to be a few in that area 10 years back but have grown by leaps and bounds in the past decade, so that’s probably why. Add in the revamped City Center and the Memorial Mall, and there you go with the bubble!
