I’m suprised that you believe it’s about to happen and has not already underway. Remember if the government can create a cashless society. if they want control they simply shut down your social security number. It would stop all abilities to travel buy food gas medicine pay rent essentially your fucked. It works great to keep the population in control. That’s why they love and encourage people to invest almost all their extra earnings in a 401 k. Then they know exactly how much you have. I wonder if the tax rate will be higher when we withdraw it then it would have when we earned it. We are fine. Debt is under control. Almost every American is contributing to the tax base and social security is so flush they don’t know what to do with it. Why would they need any extra if the money that they know exists and can’t be hid. Just a thought
