Or is it way too far from the beaten pass?

In terms of? It's pretty much an Austin suburb. Plenty of people commute from there. In terms of stuff to do there, there's not much, but I think there are some restaurants and bars downtown.

It's not really off the beaten path because it's on I-35. It's really just south of Onion Creek.

I have lived in Austin 2 times in my life and Never heard of Onion Creek.
Must check it out before the weather gets bad.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BUDA....I think its the Cabellas water tower that put the cherry on top yep I LOVE THIS city

Onion Creek is a road that's pretty much the southern border of Austin on I-35. It's an actual creek as well.
