So if there was a bust, why didn't we hear about it in the news. News will always report a bust if it happened. They love reporting that shit. Nothing in the news so it is definitely not a bust. And yes, cops will come out if the homeless are causing problems and interfering with businesses.

There are many busts at AMPS that don't make the news. Many.

Not true at all.....I have a very good friend that owns a couple shops, one on westheimer got hit about two months ago and nothing ever made any news. They were in and out of there in 20 mins total and took the one gal to jail.......Never did it hit the news paper or online site.

And the question becomes ... was the "spa" busted or was the appearance to serve a warrant on a specific person who happened to work at that location. Additionally, businesses in most counties have to have a registration in place and certain businesses require licenses for the business as well as employees. It has little, if anything, to do with whether or not sexual activity is occurring for remuneration. The Harris County Attorney's Office (not the DA) has a section that enforces "rules" and "laws" regulating business activity in the county.

The area north of W. Mt Houston along Tomball Parkway all the way north to SHT is outside of Houston City limits. It is under the jurisdiction of the Harris County Sheriff's Office and Constables.

The last sentence is correct. A number of years ago there was an expansion of the City of Houston "limits" of jurisdiction along a number of main corridors into the Spring & Spring Cypress (etc) area. Along 249 (where this spa is located) is one of the "main corridors" ... the initiative was to expand City taxing authority into those developing business areas, which also expanded LE and other City agency jurisdiction. City licensing requirements as well as "health" regulation may also apply

The expansion does not address the natural jurisdiction of peace officers in extraterritorial and/or typical LE mutual assistance agreements and activities aka regional/multi-city/county task forces. They use their agencies vehicles if a marked unit is appropriate. A Texas peace officer enjoys state-wide authority....on and off "duty"!

Ok after all this BS, what was the final answer? Was it busted or not?
